Ashley Darby is officially in her post-divorce bloom era, and it might include adding another little one to her growing family. The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star revealed on the season 10 After Show that she is seriously thinking about having more children — and one of her sons may already be manifesting it for her.
Ashley, who shares sons Dean, 6, and Dylan, 4, with ex-husband Michael Darby, opened up about dating, co-parenting and family planning during her conversation with fellow RHOP alum and single mom Monique Samuels. And while Ashley is keeping her romantic options open, she admitted that the baby question keeps finding its way into her life.
Ashley Darby Reveals Why She’s Thinking About Having More Kids
On the RHOP After Show for season 10, episode 8, Ashley said there wasn’t a single moment where she realized she wanted additional children. It was something that developed gradually.
“I can’t put my finger on it, exactly when the moment happened that I decided I potentially want more children,” Ashley shared. “And I will say that Dylan, my younger son, he says to me all the time that I’m gonna give him a sister.”
Monique reacted immediately, saying it sounded like mother-son intuition. Ashley agreed, explaining, “Yeah, he’s like, ‘Mom, I’m gonna have a little sister.’ And he says it straight-faced.”
Monique responded, “Like he knows it. And he’s your son, so if he’s saying that, that means he either dreamt it or… Yeah, I can see you with a little mini-me.”
Ashley also discussed where she stands romantically after her run-in with Wale Alesh from Bravo’s “Love Hotel.” And in true Ashley fashion, she didn’t sugarcoat her decision.
“Because of his age, he’s 38, he’d never been married, no kids, I just didn’t think that he and I were really aligned,” she explained. “So, I was like, ‘Eh, I’m just gonna, like, set you free.’”
Ashley also admitted that she suspected Wale had stronger chemistry with Gizelle Bryant. “On top of everything else, you’re just not my guy,” she said.
So when he showed up later at RHOP’s Reasonably Shady party with bouquets for Gizelle and Robyn Dixon — who didn’t even attend — Ashley felt some type of way.
“He should’ve brought three bouquets,” Ashley told Monique. “You haven’t kissed anybody else in this place but me. We actually kissed.”
If there was any doubt that Ashley is moving forward with confidence, she cleared it up at BravoCon 2025. Speaking on the “Getting Lucky at the Love Hotel” panel, Ashley said she’s manifesting her next marriage and future baby plans.
“Oh, I am getting married again,” she declared. “I kind of want another baby… I’m thinking within the next two years.”
Ashley even joked that she advised Lala Kent to maintain two boyfriends — one public and one private. “You just need to have a little roster,” she said. “Have one that you take out to play and another one to cuddle with at night.”
