According to court documents obtained by TMZ, MJ listed October 17 as the date of separation and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She also requested that the court block spousal support for both parties, signaling that she’s ready to move on independently.

MJ and Tommy, who tied the knot in April 2018, share a 6-year-old son named Shams. In her filing, MJ asked for sole physical and legal custody but said she’s open to creating a visitation plan for Tommy. A court hearing has been set for December 18.

Fans of “Shahs of Sunset” followed MJ’s relationship journey on the hit Bravo show, where her fiery personality and sharp humor became signature traits. Tommy often appeared on camera too, with their ups and downs — and plenty of makeups — playing out over nine seasons.

Since the series ended in 2021, MJ has stayed connected to fans through her podcast and social media, often sharing updates about motherhood and life post-Bravo.

MJ will return in the “Shahs” reboot, “The Valley: Persian Style” which hopefully will premiere on Bravo in 2026.
