Jesse McBee and Alli Ventresca of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” shocked fans when they announced the April birth of their first child, daughter Summer Leigh McBee. Turns out, the farmer and his wife kept the pregnancy completely under wraps — even while cameras were rolling on season 2.
How Jesse and Alli Kept Their Baby News Under Wraps
Speaking to Bravo’s “The Daily Dish,” the couple admitted Summer was “a happy surprise” they held close to the chest. “It almost didn’t feel real until we got that first ultrasound,” Jesse explained, noting the moment came before their October wedding. “We didn’t tell anybody [in] the camera crew, [or] really any of our family at all … So, it was all of that just kind of came to a head.”
That secrecy played out as drama on-screen. Fans watched Jesse wrestle with prenups, cold feet, and arguments over where the couple would live. Off-camera, the couple were quietly preparing to become parents.
“Navigating parenthood has been another big life change for us, but we are doing it together and learning more about each other every day,” they shared. “Summer has been the biggest blessing for us.”

Alli revealed Summer’s arrival on Instagram on April 19, two days after the baby — and Alli’s 30th birthday. “My heart has never been so full,” she wrote. Adding to the family ties, Summer arrived just months after Jesse’s brother Cole welcomed a daughter of his own.
As for the couple’s infamous city-versus-farm debate? They’ve finally found a compromise. “We’re splitting our time between our two homes,” Alli explained. “We will stay up at the farm on most weekends … and then stay in our city house the other days. We have found this just works best with our schedules and with the baby now.”
Looks like the McBee Dynasty just got a new heir — even if Bravo fans didn’t see it coming.
