Dylan Efron Rumored to Join “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34

Could “Dancing With the Stars” finally be pulling from Peacock’s “The Traitors” cast list? Fans think so. Rumor has it that Dylan Efron, who won season 3 of the Emmy-winning hit, could be trading cloaks and strategy sessions for sequins and foxtrots this fall on ABC.

Efron has been a hot name since his breakout run on “The Traitors,” with fans wondering what he’d do next. Now, whispers from “Dancing With the Stars” sources suggest producers have him on their radar, and he’s inching closer to a ballroom debut.

The gossip only gained steam thanks to current DWTS pro Britt Stewart. On May 23, Stewart posted a TikTok dancing to a remix of “Get Your Head in the Game” from “High School Musical”—a suspiciously on-brand nod given Efron’s famous last name. She then doubled down days later, posting, “Who’s your Season 34 dream cast? GO!!!” Of course, fans immediately connected the dots. One even wrote, “Why do I feel like this is foreshadowing Dylan Efron as her partner this season?”

High School Musical Clues Spark More Buzz

If that wasn’t enough to keep rumor mills churning, Dylan himself isn’t exactly shutting the door. In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Efron cheekily referenced “High School Musical 2” while discussing the idea of joining DWTS. “I don’t dance, so it would be tough, but I love challenging myself. I’d be open to it,” he said.

Sound familiar? “I Don’t Dance” is not only a fan-favorite HSM track but was performed by Corbin Bleu—who just so happened to compete on season 17 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe Dylan just dropped the most obvious Easter egg in reality TV history.

Until ABC announces the official cast for season 34, nothing is set in stone. But if Dylan Efron does step into the ballroom, expect the fandom crossover between “The Traitors” and DWTS to be absolutely unhinged—in the best possible way.
