Luann de Lesseps is revisiting old “Real Housewives of New York” drama, and this time, she’s pointing the finger at Bethenny Frankel. According to the “Love Hotel” star, Bethenny was the most jealous of her coveted “Countess” title during their Bravo days.
The cabaret performer didn’t hold back when reflecting on her longtime co-star, claiming Bethenny tried to “take her down” out of envy.
Luann Says Bethenny Wanted What She Had
In an interview with Jake Shane on his podcast Therapuss, Luann hesitated briefly before naming Bethenny as the castmate most jealous of her. She then launched into a pointed comparison of their lives at the time.
“Let’s think back. Bethenny started the show. I’m married to a French aristocrat. I have two gorgeous children. I’ve got the house in the Hamptons with the swimming pool … not like Alex and Simon with the blow-up pool, right?!” Luann quipped.
“I’ve got everything that she wants. So, who wanted to take me down the most? It was [Bethenny], for sure,” she declared.
The former countess also made it clear she never enjoyed filming alongside Bethenny, describing her as difficult to navigate. “God knows, I had to deal with Bethenny. Good luck with that. I mean, it’s like walking on eggshells,” she complained.
From ‘All Love’ to Uncool Again
This revelation comes less than a year after reports claimed the two women had buried the hatchet. At a Hamptons party last summer, sources told Page Six that Bethenny and Luann were “excited to see each other” and wanted to squash their feud. At the time, it seemed like “it’s all love, and things are good between the ladies.”
But in her new interview, Luann reignited tension by also accusing Bethenny of leaking cast stories to the press. “When my name is on Page Six, I know it’s Bethenny who called them. Sonja too,” she said, adding that neither would ever admit it.
Luann, who appeared on RHONY for 13 seasons, seems to have settled her feelings on her former co-star once and for all: Bethenny may have moved on from Bravo, but in Luann’s mind, the drama lingers.

She might have wanted to be rich (who doesn’t?) but I doubt she was jealous of the ‘title’? Also, when had Luann ever walked on egg shells?
