Kristen Doute has made her stance crystal clear when it comes to The Valley castmate Janet Caperna. In recent Instagram comments, Kristen backed fans who accused Janet of being “slanderous” and “reckless” with other people’s reputations.

“She manufactures drama and then plays the victim,” one viewer wrote, to which Kristen responded with a telling: “We try not to live with regrets… however…”—a thinly veiled reference to inviting Janet on the Hawaii cast trip.

Kristen also reacted to a fan calling Janet out for accusing Danny Booko of having a drinking problem, while Janet herself has been shown drinking freely throughout the season. “We saw [the true] Janet last night … Think she might have a drinking problem,” one fan wrote. Kristen reposted the comment without objection.

The tension between Kristen and Janet has been brewing for months. On The Valley: After Show, Kristen addressed Janet’s early-season “apology” for resurfacing Zack Wickham’s past offensive comments. “They’re basically mortal enemies,” Kristen said. “I don’t know if it actually bothered Janet the way Janet says it does, or if it was just so convenient for her to weaponize it.” She added bluntly, “I do not trust her an ounce.”

Kristen Doute Weighs In On Janet Caperna “Fleeing” the Country Amid Fan Backlash

Last week, Janet addressed rumors that she and husband Jason fled the country after receiving intense backlash from The Valley viewers—including reported death threats. In a video posted to @bravosnarkside on Instagram, Janet explained, “There was a headline that said Jason and I fled the country… But this is a much-needed planned family vacation. We are in Switzerland, and it’s been lovely.”

She went on to promote her podcast, This Side of The Hill, saying the rumors likely came from a recent episode discussing online hate. “We will be unfleeing and returning to the United States,” she added.

But Kristen wasn’t buying it. After the video made the rounds, she commented, “I’m really trying to keep my thoughts to myself… 😂” Zack liked the post, and eagle-eyed fans noticed he and Janet no longer follow each other—despite briefly making peace earlier in the season.
