Listened to your podcast! Just thought I share as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ (Mormon)
Basically garments are wore to show the covenant made with our Heavenly Father in the temple. It is believe you should wear them as often as possible. I think with older generations there is a lot of judgement in the church when they see younger generations or influencers not wearing them as much as they think the garments should be worn. Personally if someone chooses not to wear their garments, it is that persons decision and doesn’t impact your salvation so you shouldn’t worry about it. I think garments are a hot topic because you have older generations who think they should be wore 24/7 where as younger generations don’t believe not wearing 24/7 won’t keep them out of Heaven.
Just thought I share my two sense as a member of the church

some more fun insight
– When I was Mormon, we literally had the stake president (a man who has “power” over a geographical area and those congregations) came to our women’s Sunday service(because yes, men and women are separated for 1/3 of the Sunday services) to tell us that he’s seen too many women out doing yard work and running errands in tank tops and not wearing their garments. This some old guy, he was in is 40s 🤣
– You are told the only way to dispose of garments is to burn them or cut the secret markings out. The markings are symbols from the freemasons. Early Mormonism was very heavily influenced by the Freemason including their “secret” signs and hand signals which are still practiced in the Mormon temples today
It’s “worn”, not wore.
@Sally – secret markings??? I’m now more intrigued by all of this!!! Could early Mormons have been a part of the Oak Island saga, too???? No, but seriously… I need to know more! Obviously you can’t just buy these ‘garments’ off Amazon, right?
It’s sad that not wearing a garment 24/7 or whatever may give them fear they won’t make it in to heaven. What did Jesus have on when he died??!!🤯🤷🏼♀️🤔
Wait, Sally, that’s crazy I didn’t know the Freemason influenced Mormonism in a way! My dad is a Freemason and even he didn’t know that!
