69. Atlanta’s Future (Exclusive Tea); RHONY Ladies Seeing Green? And Just Like That Finale

Hours before we sat down to record, we got some exclusive tea about Real Housewives of Atlanta and its future. We’ve been getting (and sharing) emails about this topic all summer, but today’s tea is hot and straight from a source. The finale popped off and there’s lots to discuss there. We have a theory about how some of the RHONY women might have been feeling during filming…and how that could affect their behavior. Brynn’s life sounds like a movie. And Just Like That season 2 finale: pause at the end if you haven’t watched. What we liked…and what we didn’t.

Hi, the hi COC tailors. Okay, so I feel like while the summer isn’t quite over, I feel like everything kind of just ramped up like it was a little quiet on the housewives front there for a while and this last just week of shows has been like super good. So I feel like we should start with Atlanta because we saw the finale on Sunday and there’s a lot to discuss. Well, obviously we’re going to discuss the finale but and guys we’re recording a couple of days early because the lovely had mana is Amana, you hear me Amanda is taking a much deserved and needed vacation. So we’re recording as all of this news is breaking that. Okay, so we’ve been posting a lot of emails, Amanda about Atlanta. Yeah. And they were pretty detailed emails. And they were basically different versions of what reboots would look like. Yeah. Right. And we’re gonna read I threw one in later in later in our conversation about Atlanta. Yeah, just to remind our listeners, and I am most of those Republic when when it’s big emails like that. I like to make it public. Because let’s face it, whoever is sending those in, is looking for feedback from the viewers. And it gets people talking over on Twitter. It’s called x. Now I’m going to continue to call Twitter, okay, and we appreciate you whoever it is sending it in. We really appreciate it. We’re happy to you can always by the way, this is very important. I always mean to say this, if anyone sends us an email and they want it public for that reason, because they want the larger audience to hear it. Please make a note of that. And I’m happy to make it Bravo and cocktails. And not a cocktail party, the cocktail party stuff often people want it to be more secret. So yeah, yeah, we tell a cocktail party that the same thing like if you wanted to the public if you don’t just put it in the email, as you know, it’s always anonymous. The note but yeah, it’s definitely been interesting because I mean, we’ve been getting emails for quite a while. And the level of detail in these emails fell to me like, and we’ll talk more about it but felt to me like there had been ongoing discussions that had been evolving. And that’s, that’s kind of where what I were, I think has been happening about what to do about the next season. Yeah, and this has been going on from for our email box since July. So clearly, they’re seeing this season isn’t a go. We’re hearing fans very unhappy with production, we’re hearing that they feel like favorites were being picked. And they weren’t going deep with some of the other housewives. So long and short of it is B, Scott has come out with an article about a reboot. Her version is saying much very similar to our emails, right. It doesn’t mention new production. But it does say that we can expect a lot of the ladies to be let go be Scott’s article compared it to
the Miami reboot, which obviously, there’s tons of differences, but in that they would keep some familiar faces, and get rid of others. However, my source is telling me as of today, and I posted it, that they are hearing that the cast is gutted, and all new production. So you know, we’re going to be following this up. I will be posting as I get it again, if you want me to post it public, whatever follow ups, you guys sources have did the source say like new production company, or just new production from from the same company? I can ask for, you know, to specify, but they just said new production interest. So suffice to say we’re getting a new Atlanta. And now we’re going to talk about the finale and all of our thoughts on what what is happening with the ladies and some of their recent posts and put the puzzle together. Together guys, because nothing is confirmed. Right? So as of this, yes, you know, be Scott, listen, I don’t believe that she would put it out without a source. But could that source be production? You know, so I trust my source who says it’s a fool God?
I don’t believe that they would tell me that unless they
were firm on it. Let me ask you a question really quickly before we get into all this. Back in the day, when we were hearing there were rumblings about the Roni rebuild. Do you think there were a lot of people who are like, yes, we need to start completely over and have a completely new group of like women? No, I think Bravo went out on a whim. Yep. I think so too. Because I think it’s one of those things, if you ask the fans, or if people are putting stuff out there just to get temperature checks. I don’t think the temperature would ever go towards like, yes, we want to completely rebuild the feelings I feel like from the fans would be no, you know, we want but we we do want to reboot, but we want x you know, we want a couple of people to continue is what we’re I think generally the fans would be so it’s just interesting. That
Bravo went out and did Roni like that. And I think the fact that Roni is doing so well, is probably giving them pause and having them look really hard at all of their shows. The other the other thing that I thought of was, I think that Miami can certainly be certainly be looked to as okay, we know that they took years break by the fact that they brought back some emojis. And so we had for for people who watched it like we did, right and who liked the show, we had that connection, and then they integrated these completely new women. And that certainly worked out very well. Yeah. So I think to me, and again, we’ve heard both both versions, right? We have a couple of emails and be Scott’s article saying, oh, yeah, they’re getting rid of some people, but they’re gonna keep some faces. And then we have my sources saying now it’s a complete gut. So if I were Bravo, I would say, let’s keep a couple of women in some capacity, even if they ultimately go to friend, right. And let’s get some new blood in there. And we’re talking Atlanta, okay. Atlanta has so many up and coming artists, so many well to do families, so many athletes, wives, artists, you know, artists wives, I think
There is a plethora of women in Atlanta, that I am certain want the exposure. This is the Real Housewives. And let’s not forget Atlanta for many years was the number one real housewives. So the idea that they would have trouble casting, which is what I read in be Scott’s article, I find that incredibly hard to believe I could see them running into trouble as far as Kemp, like having chemistry with some of your cast. Yeah, yeah. So the full gut makes sense. And also a lot of them have power Kenya and candy as an example. I’m sure they have long lists of women they won’t film with. Right, right. And I’m sure in the last couple of seasons, that has been an issue, and maybe it’s to the point where they’re like, You know what, they’re so expensive. And they won’t film with x, y, z and b that we want to bring on. So let’s start now. Yeah.
Yeah, I can see that. I could see that being the thought and like, and like I said, like, with Roni, doing so well, that puts some wind in the sails of this whole thought this whole like, kind of gut job that that’s being discussed. Absolutely. Okay, so let’s talk finale. And you kind of mentioned Kenya earlier. So let’s start with her. So she has been going off on social media, she’s unhappy with production. They didn’t feature her salon opening. They think just mentioned it. And they showed her kind of doing Brooklyn’s hair, you know, and she’s like, Oh, you’re gonna be my test clients, that kind of situation. And then I guess they didn’t film Brooklyn’s birthday party that was like a mermaid party. All the kids, all the moms like everyone was dressed up as mermaids. So there was some consternation and some confusion about why they wouldn’t have shown it because so many of the housewives didn’t even pass housewives were there. She’s heated. It’s clear. She’s mad at production. I can’t say I blame her. Yeah, she tweeted some stuff about them always featuring and favoring candy, which made me wonder if it will affect her relationship with candy. Or if it’s more like it’s not candies, fault and candy gets that it’s aimed at production. I wonder if she’s fed up? You know, prior to hearing this my thinking was she fed up enough not to return? Or at this point? I’m thinking what she tipped off, does she know that they’re not planning to ask her back? There’s been a lot of rumors about a shake up. And she and candy are the most expensive. So a lot of my followers wrote and said that candies post at the end, you know, after the finale sounded like a goodbye post, huh? Yeah. So I think I think Kenya is heated because I think the writing is on the wall for her. I think it would have been fun. But I also do think this like, I think it would have been really fun to see those events because I enjoy Kenya. I love her relationship with her daughter. I like seeing any woman, you know, succeeding in business. There is yeah, there’s an article to that. It could have been there’s just so much other stuff going on with Ralph and Drew, but also Sonya, but I don’t know that I believe that argument. I think that it doesn’t look good. Because again, like if, if Kenya and candy go, and then that opens up not just a lot of money. But that opens up. Like you said probably a pretty long list of women that they wouldn’t film with it could now possibly be part of the cast who are very interesting. In the Bravo worlds. I’m sure part of the conversation that’s probably happening behind the scenes is like, it’s never really over for anybody, right? Maybe you’re just on pause, or maybe you know, you are going to go on another girl’s trip or who knows. So one of the emails we got, and I put one of them in there because just to remind I myself post these and I forget them a lot. So Liana, I’m going to make a master post. You guys have all that we’ve gotten throughout the summer. I don’t know if they go back as far as the spring I think. I think it’s stuck. They started in July. So this email said when it comes to Atlanta, the numbers aren’t so good. Keep in mind, casting heavily relies on budget and storyline, candy and Kenya, being gone will open up the talent budget and allow them to bring at least two to three new wives. The new ladies won’t be getting close to half of what candy or Kenya are getting. Somebody actually said like Roni, the new ladies made like 100,000 for the whole season. Right? So thinking about that clearly they can get a lot of new ladies. The quite this email says the question they are currently trying to figure out is who stays who goes with how ratings have been going. It’s cheaper for the network to keep DRO Sonya Marlo and
tray with them for plush two or three new ladies, that may be the closest thing to a shake up for this cast expect either candy or Kenya to leave, they can’t afford to keep them both with these low ratings. I think these emails and rumors also were positioned to turn candy and Kenya against each other. I think that their bond was very strong in recent years. And I think that that gave them a lot of bargaining power as a team. So by putting a separation in that alliance, right, the network production whatever it is, has the power to lowball them both. If they’re not speaking to each other, they have no way to know and if he if it became a matter of pride, maybe they both would lower their rate to get on and a feud between them if they decided to keep them would bring viewers in. I’m just thinking out loud. But it does seem that they are we’re positioning them against each other and Kenya’s recent tweets do seem like she’s not happy with candies preferential treatment. I can’t imagine candy likes that Kenya is naming her right so I mean, I don’t know I don’t I think candy if they are really truly good friends. Yeah, I’m sure Kinney is not probably thrilled but I wouldn’t say she’s probably mad about it. movie the past essentially we just watched a season long infomercial, about that movie, which I would call very smart marketing. It’s you know, we call it content marketing. Right? But it was I think a win win for candy I think for the movie. And for NBCU because like I’ll tell you I’m very intrigued. I want to watch it. I think it looks you know kind of juicy and definitely a little campy but fun to watch. And you know that I think is anytime people that you know that you like to watch on one day and you kind of are interested in watching it another so you know Candis Andrews in it and I don’t know. So and I mean, talk about an amazing business woman. This is all happening as the same strike is happening. So her show and who even knows if she there was no way for her to protect the strike when she was filming this but she didn’t have to promote this movie. Because the reality show and social media did the job for her. Yeah, it’s gonna do well, and you know her success is due and this is where I feel Kandi may have issue with what can you saying? To diminish her success by saying it’s because the producers are favoring her isn’t fair. I agree. And let’s also remember that if Bravo gets a cut of housewives businesses which we believe they do, they have every reason to favor her. She has many successful profitable, profitable businesses. And you know I don’t want to say Kenya’s heroine isn’t successful I believe it is successful. But is it is she worldwide level candy spinoff was already approved to so regardless of if they let her go candy remains
was already it was she has I was gonna say I don’t think candies even if it’s not on housewives, she’s not going anywhere she’s got she’ll have continued to have something. And you know candy stayed on housewives because candy is not a person who leaves a bag on a table as she said many times but for her family and for her marriage. I do believe that if Bravo made the decision for her
As long as she still had a partnership with them to get another movie on peacock to have a spin off that focuses on her restaurants and less on her personal family, nuclear life like nuclear family life, I think that Kandi would almost gladly accept Bravo making that decision for her. Yeah, you know, they’re married a long time. And the attacks on their marriage don’t seem to stop. I mean, from her own mother, but the reality is, so long as she’s on housewives, she’s going to be open to that. And when she closes that chapter, and its spin offs, she will be able to shield herself from that they can position themselves more as a power couple and their NBC spin offs and stuff can be more about them producing shows or their restaurants. Ala Lisa Vanderpump. I think there’s a good chance that we could see you know, they have the old lady gang, we can focus on her staff, the way that we’ve focused on the staff at Sur, she’s got a lot of opportunity. Lisa Left. Lisa Left Vanderpump she’s about to start filming on the spin off at her villa. She has kept Vanderpump Rules going there is a valley spin off that I’m sure she’s got to cut in. So you know, Kandi is basically the East Coast version, the Atlanta version of that, so I think she’s just fine. I think Kenya is the one who’s very salty because she hasn’t had as many she is as established as candy. But she hasn’t been the darling Oh, NBC. Yeah. Karina, she doesn’t have the synergies, right. I mean, what candy it makes so much sense because she’s an entertainment and she’s producing all this stuff. And you know, she’s got her audience so dialed in. But I do want to say Kenya, if you’re listening, if they try to invoke the Bethany clause on you tell them to go pound sand. Yeah, they didn’t show your salon, you know, so, tell them eff off. You know, it’s too late. Okay, what about drew because that was fascinating. Admittedly, I don’t love Drew. I think that her marriage plays a large part in it because she’s defending this guy who’s so toxic, but I am happy that she had her sister there to support her. She’s back. You know that she’s back in Drew’s life. Yeah, I think Alison added to the season for sure. For me, she made you more likeable in many ways. Her marriage to Ralph has been toxic from the time we met them. His cousin Courtney, who we just met, so she had love with him. Like, I don’t know, there’s a weird as vibe going on there. I mean, they’re cousins, but they just met so it’s not like they have a childhood family bond. I thought she was disgusting for the things she said she tried to act like it was a hot mic moment. It wasn’t the camera was clearly still there just because they tilted it up saying that drew forced Ralph to adopt her son to pay her bills so she could go off with her lesbian lover like what are you talking about? Courtney? Yeah. What bills is Ralph paying? Yeah. Right. What what Job was never seen the man work. He wrote a book about the adoption that I don’t even know if it happened. I don’t think I don’t even know. I mean, yeah, he’s he’s, as they say, in Texas. Have a lot of family in Texas. Ralph has all hat no cattle, right? Oh, I love that I need to use that. He you know, I think he looks good. He does a good job. You know, playing the role of husband when there’s other people around. So I could see how he had drew drew fooled for a while. I just I kind of feel for her because I feel like we saw her doing the work going to therapy. I can imagine she was really trying to make it work for for the kids and for the family. And in the meantime, I think she even said, you know, I lost my voice in the marriage, but diminishing her own feelings and thoughts and needs in that whole process. And he, I mean, I think the only person Ralph really cares about is Ralph. Totally. He gives her a hard time about filming a movie. I mean, this movie is a big opportunity for her. It’s a great career move. But he says, Oh, you’re just out filming sex scenes. And when he said that, Amanda like Did you see how exhausting it was in Magic Mike? Okay. Yeah, yeah. Do you see how exhausted she looked? And that’s not just from work. I do think that you know, at the end we saw and we saw that their marriage was toxic, but I think she was trying to hide a lot of their issues. Yeah, that’ll catch up to somebody it is exhausting. Yeah, so addressing all of those emotions and play and then the cameras went back up to film. There’s Marlo thirsty as Marlo I just I feel really bad for Drew. And I and then we saw a clip from the reunion where he says I love my like Andy says and he goes but I love my wife and Drew’s like you just told me before we entered the stage that you’ve been getting blowjobs all across the country. I can disgusting. I’m sure that happened before their marriage was open over to like yeah, I
You know, yeah, I agree. I hope she doesn’t try to reconcile as well. You know, I was confused, like watching the show. And just thinking because I remember very clearly the day that the whole divorce thing happened. We were recording that day. So literally, it was happening all like, right as we were going on. And so I was trying to remember and like, go back and watch. I watched the beginning of the show again, because it said at the beginning March 3, right, and then it goes into the real Mike’s whims of rap party. How did all that happen? So the wrap party hadn’t happened. end of January, Ralph and Drew, they filed I forget what date in March, but beginning of March, like first, which also sided with scandal, which we all got so sidetracked on that we kind of forgot about their divorce. Yeah. So and as we have mentioned in the past, it does matter in Georgia, in divorce proceedings if there was infidelity in the marriage. So you know, I’m watching this and watching him say, and Courtney say, you know that Ralph was making these accusations and Courtney is saying there’s using the word discovery, which I mean, for her to say that word means she and Ralph are fully in cahoots. Again, strange to me and discovery, it just means evidence in a case. But discovery is essentially it’s like what you’re putting forward as proof. So you know, in a divorce proceeding in Georgia, where you can find fault for infidelity, you have to prove it, for it to be counted in the divorce. So that is, essentially what Courtney is saying is that she they that Ralph has proof that Drew has cheated. And you know, if the proof is just that drew went to go see the friend in Texas, I wouldn’t consider that. You know, proof like it usually has to be pictures, texts, things like that, for it to be counted. And the reason I know this is I know somebody who went through a situation like this in Georgia, where there was faults, and there was discovery, and there was proof, etcetera. I think that Ralph probably threatened her with divorce a lot. And I think she loved him. And she didn’t want another failed relationship. Yeah. And I think that he really had no intention of actually divorcing her until she said she was going to, which was why they raced to the courthouse because she’s the breadwinner. So without her he screwed. Yeah. And that’s why he’s saying I love my wife. Yeah. Well, you love her and you love her money. And now you’re realizing you took it too far. Yeah. And you’re not as clever as you think. And she had enough of you? Well, and it sounds like I mean, drew in order to claim fidelity and the divorce proceedings. Drew must have something on Ralph too. So I think we’ll have to see what happens. But I don’t know. I can’t help it route for Drew. I can’t help but question Ralph story. I just have never gotten the vibe that drew I think Drew was really trying, I think probably there too. I think she was like, Look, I’ve been filming this movie. I literally got an hour of sleep last night, like I’m, you know, hoping you can step up as a supportive partner. And instead you’re, you know, coming in and making me cry and not siding with me when defending your cousin who you met last week. Right? Exactly. So I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. But I don’t know. I just don’t I don’t get the if I don’t know if maybe they did both cheat. I think Rolf had been cheating probably throughout the marriage. So I have no idea if that has anything to do with, like, I don’t know, understand divorce court enough in Georgia to know whether that makes a difference. But in my mind, it makes a difference if Rolf was cheating throughout the marriage. And then of course, we have to mention that Kim and cronies divorce is back on curry filed. What have I heard on that? So my trusty source with insider knowledge says that they legitimately were trying to make it work, but fighting over the house the bills, it was just too much. The person said that he’s messed up from football. It plays a role. I don’t know if that means physically. You know, I was thinking we might see her and now with this full God, I don’t know if they want to go there with her again. Yeah, you know, I also posted yesterday that there are a lot of rumors in Atlanta that her daughter is like a young girl sugar baby. They posted a video which I believe was an older video maybe from the first time they were split of her and Brielle flying to who knows where they were flying. But they were in delta one which is a very expensive ticket unless they usually points from the credit cards that are suing them.
Is that fancier I think that the I think the credit card pretty sure the credit cards take the points away if you’re not paying it off. I think so but
is delta one like fancier than first class? Even? That’s what a couple followers said. Yeah. Okay. It’s like a way back seats. And yeah, I don’t know if they want to. And I don’t think if they’re trying to reboot a show, they can’t be having yacht baby like there’s real money in Atlanta. They don’t need to go down to this level. And they shouldn’t Saudi princes. Yeah. But tend to be the ones who like to have those kinds of people fly funny you see them because the follower said that they were flying to Dubai. Wow. Hmm. There you go. Yeah. And maybe she’s out of retirement. Maybe that’s why Croix filed again? Yeah. I mean, I wouldn’t put it past all of that to say when they got back together, they, they legitimately both at that time wanted to do what was right for the children. It’s not it’s not working. Yeah. And I mean, it’s, it’s kind of sad. If you look at it from one perspective that like, I do think they really love each other and loved each other. And, you know, sometimes some problems can be too insurmountable. Right. And I guess at this point, like, unless something big comes along, I don’t see how they’re going to avoid bankruptcy. They I think Kim just got sued for another unpaid. Yeah, credit card bill. So anyway, I did want to talk about Sonya. And I mean, her it was I don’t know my heart. Absolutely broke for her. We saw her excitement, you know, last season. She wasn’t sure if she was ready to have another child. And then she decided she was and she was so excited about being pregnant and her sweet little son Deuce was so excited to watching it. I just got a little bit having been pregnant. When we saw that the five week sonogram and how nervous Sonya said that she was cramping. Like I just got this like weird, like nervous feeling and then when she talks about miscarrying, it’s such a traumatic way. I mean, she had to go get it, go in an ambulance, go get a blood transfusion. I mean, and it was all by herself. I mean, it was, I think it was really really brave of her to talk about it. You know, so few women do and I think everybody would have understood if she was like, I can’t talk about this on camera, but she did. And it was really, I think, very inspiring to me, and I’m really really, really so happy. They’re pregnant again and having a little, you know, Rainbow baby, which is what they call babies that come after miscarriage. I absolutely agree. My heart broke. I was crying when they showed us praying for a little healthy sister. No like

You know, we knew watching it that it was just so sad. It was very relatable for I think every woman either has or has somebody close to them that they’ve been through this with and it’s just awful. It’s so awful. And I know it’s so common. And I remember when someone close to me, very sadly was suffering a miscarriage. I remember talking to my mom about it and she shared well you know, this person is like and you’re like wow, they did and they never talked about it. And I think it’s something there’s so many things that I hope are normalized for our children. IVF Of course, Miscarriage Of course because you carry that with you forever. You know it’s not something and of course, getting pregnant and having a rainbow baby is wonderful. I don’t think it ever takes away that what could have been for us so very brave of her. I love her family. I reposted a picture of her mom
Mom and Dad. They are I love them. But I also like I’m in awe of them. They’re in such shape. Do you see her? Did you see the picture I reposted of her parents? Her father has like a full six pack. I and they’re probably all athletes because she’s an athlete.
But yeah, I mean, it has to be in their 60s, right? I mean, jeans don’t lie, right? Oh my god. They’re, they’re all gorgeous. They are and her husband Ross is and he’s such a nice person. And, you know, I saw on Twitter X, whatever it is. People like saying, Oh, he wasn’t with her when she missed like, Okay, well, women miscarry. Like, is her husband supposed to follow her around as she works? Yeah, I found that she chose to go to New York on her own right for work. Like guys like
Twitter is a really dangerous place because it makes and I usually go on before bed, which is toxic for my own mental health. Right? Because that I like it myself. So angry. I was like pacing around when I read that, like it’s Ross’s fault. Like he knew. I’ve seen him be nothing but supportive, and a great husband and partner and father. So I’m going to give the BIG thumbs down to that theory gusting to try to like, is are they trying to blame him? There are plenty of up and coming artists and women and athletes, wives and casting should not be an issue and they have plenty of time. They already started the casting process. Maybe we can get that magic back. And I think that’s where I stand on that at this moment. I’m assuming because I’ve I’ve seen it happen with Rhoni and I am loving that show. So I agree with you. I want to start with sigh So I saw a preview for next week and she has a more in depth conversation with Uber about something we heard her say this week, which is regarding Jenna always gifting them with stuff. She’s collaborating with brands and she hopes they share on social sigh is saying to Uber I can’t continue to do this. Like I’m an influencer and she needs to get paid. I absolutely get it. It’s her career. But in her talking to the other women about it, instead of going directly to Jenner with that conversation, whether it’s filmed or not, I mean, she could do a film conversation with Jenna about it.
I think to me, it almost felt like she wanted Oba to agree with her and also not share Jenna’s stuff. It felt mean spirited to me, where as if she had gone to UGA and said something like okay, I need your opinion on something. You know that my career is an influencer and I just can’t keep sharing Jenna’s collabs without getting paid because my social team is giving me flak, which is probably what was happening. What do I do? It would have been a different vibe. You
If that makes sense, no, I 100% agree. I mean, here’s here’s the thing. So the site, it’s a business, but it’s her only business, right? So for her to publicly accept gifts, and then post about them for free, weakens her brand and the price that she can charge other brands, right? Yes. But I couldn’t agree with you more. That’s a conversation you have directly with Jenna. Because nobody would understand it better than Jenna. Right? And, you know, maybe it’s even a conversation. I’m like, Hey, I understand the hope is that I can post I can’t post about all this. Like, if this means you need to give this gift to somebody else. I completely understand its business, right? That would be the nutshell of the conversation. And I feel like it would be a reasonable conversation, but to her to try to unionize everyone else into not doing it feels just mean and undermining to me. I don’t know. I think psi is funny. I really love her style. She’s just been rubbing me the wrong way, the last couple of episodes, it just feels like there’s a real mean streak in her. And her what I guess I thought kind of was her hard edge is starting to look like just rudeness to me, like manners matter. And while I understand that, a lot of the stuff they do for the cameras, but her being so rude about everyone’s events, because it’s not just the food, right? It’s all of the effort that goes into these events. And when you start to complain about, you know, the food at Aaron’s house and the food and Aaron’s party and whatever, it’s just it starts to feel like actual shots being taken. And, you know, like, if you’re if you’re really that, like starving and all the time, like, put African granola bar in your purse, you know, and I don’t know, I just like what, okay, I have very few dietary constraints, because I’ll eat any almost anything except chopped liver, and I don’t have any allergies. But when you have a very specific diet, like a vegan diet, you have to plan ahead. Yeah. You know, like, come on. I do agree. I think that she’s intending for it to land different than it is. And I’m interested to see at the reunion if she says something to address it. But yeah, you know, let’s not blame editing, because I understand it’s everyone’s first rodeo on reality television. So well and like, land of unintended consequences. sigh like, I wonder if your social schedule is going to be looking a little lighter next year, because people are going to be scared that you’re gonna like, poke shots at them about the food or the lack of food, whatever. Because, honestly, when I’ve ever had parties or whatever, like, I would never invite somebody back who was rude about the food. I just, they would not be on the invite list anymore. The other thing is we all know this. We all know that when you go to fancy shmancy restaurants. It’s like an upper crust thing to give like little tastes, right? I mean, me you come to my house and we have heroes. We have trays of pasta, we have the whole thing. That is not the vibe that Aaron was going for. It certainly isn’t that Erin couldn’t afford food goes past hors d’oeuvres, I’m sure cost more from whatever fancy caterer she used. Then catered trays of Pena Lavaca and chicken marsala would cost at my house or my party. So what and here’s how you do it. You’re at the party and you’ve had a glass of wine or two and then you like, you know, whisper to the waiter like, Hey, I’m so sorry, but I don’t eat pork or I don’t eat meat. I know that there’s been some salmon getting passed around. Would you mind? Just making sure some of it comes my way so that I can have a couple because you know, I’m feeling kind of hangry and that’s what that’s how you do it. Right? You use charm. You still get your way and you don’t be rude to the hosts who threw a freaking amazing party. It just almost feels like it’s coming from a place of jealousy. A lot of the behavior at that party felt like that to me. Agreed. Whoa, wait one second. I just remembered something. Remember when sigh when Aaron was like, oh, where’s I think sighs husband’s name David. Yeah, where’s David? And she was like, Oh, we couldn’t get a sitter, but he didn’t care anyway, he didn’t want to come. So remember that. So shall we just say he is so bummed out or Senator canceled? I have been sending him pictures about how beautiful your party is. And then you move on again. Like I am by no means Miss Manners. Yeah, I’ve just been to enough of these things. Like it’s just it’s and this is why again, I would be so fucking boring on camera because I wouldn’t you know, I just I do I think
Manners, manners really matter. And, you know, yeah, people might not like you because they might not like your personality, but you really don’t want people to not invite you stuff because you just have bad manners. Like that’s just, I don’t know, to me, so. So Brynn I want to talk about we’ll talk about the Erin stuff, too. But her ex fiance, Gideon, who she clearly has great chemistry with their shopping for classic cars. What did you think of the proposal story?
Oh, my God, I thought it was great. I loved I also loved when she said, the worst thing you’ll have to do is call your boyfriend and tell him you’re engaged to somebody else. So my boyfriend broke up with her boyfriend to get back together with her ex and get engaged. She’s the best stories. I mean, yeah, he does. Watching it. So then my followers sent yesterday that Gideon works for the agency, all roads lead to Bravo, the London and LA office. My question is, why are they back together? They clearly still have chemistry.
I mean, I don’t know that engagement story was so cute that they broke up. She started dating somebody else he swoops in out of nowhere, proposes in this epic way. I mean, it was a movie. Yes. And like, I think you’re right. I think there’s hope for them yet. He definitely seems to have a thing for her still. I don’t know. I think, who knows. But, you know, Brynn to me, while she keeps saying she wants marriage and same. She wants a family and saying that she wants all of that. She just left that engagement. Because she just said she wasn’t ready. Right. So you know, or maybe maybe that was really just hers, trying to say nicely, that he wasn’t the one. It’s hard to say. Okay, So Aaron, confronted Aaron and Brian. I think I was a little surprised at how mad Aaron was, but I think it was that she just expected Bryn to say, You know what, I was a little stoned. I was a little tipsy. I shouldn’t have done it. I apologize. Obviously. I was kidding. Obviously, I wasn’t hitting on him. But I can totally appreciate not the time, not the place, which is what she said in her Instagram post. But she just doubled down and was like, I didn’t say that, which was a lie. And then Jess will say she didn’t say it.
I mean, okay, I agree. Like, while I don’t think that Brynn was trying to steal aim, and that she was legitimately kind of trying to be funny. Definitely not the time. Definitely not the place like in my mind again, here I go with the etiquette lesson. But
let the couple hot. I mean, they’re throwing this big party to celebrate their love. Let them have a spotlight for the night. Instead of flirting and making jokes like asking you what his favorite thing about Aaron is, or ask him a story about Aaron that she would never tell her about herself. Right? That would have been just as interesting and like fun to watch. Just give them like they’re one freaking night. I just you know what it is? What it is, is we’re all looking at this looking at their relationships. But what we’re not looking at, and what we have to start realizing in this new era because housewives has been around a long time now is they’re jealous, not necessarily of their marriage. They’re jealous that they’re highlighting a huge event for Aaron. They were mad that the first trip was to Aaron’s beautiful house. So they’re not mad at Aaron. They’re mad that she is being chosen by production to be featured. So for me that’s what it boils down to. So when they’re taking shots at her it’s like they’re almost saying and this is why I should have been featured and not you because I would have had a better event. Does that make sense? Like so I I think that as viewers of course we’re looking at it like they’re taking shots at her events like sigh leaving early was rude to Aaron. But it was also like her being annoyed that she was getting this feature because clearly that’s going to be a whole episode about Aaron and it was and they put on a play set. But I’m also very excited to see more of her career but that her mom started to cry not because not because she was mad that Jessel didn’t tell her but because she was so sad that she wasn’t able to be there for her when she was going through such a monumental life struggle. I loved that. It was very touching. I love Jessica’s mom. We’ve seen all the ladies not all but some of them post on social how Jessica’s mom is like such a supportive woman to them. I saw Brynn post. I know Jenna has said it. She seems like a truly fantastic woman. I think it was touching. And I think it was also it also shows and it’s something that I think people who are raised in families that are quote unquote, like old fashioned or they feel are stuck in their old ways. sort of take for granted that they’re they assume I’m sorry, not take for granted. They assume that their parents will revert to how the people will perceive it. And I think it was a good reminder that like Jessica’s mom would have just wanted to be there for her. Right, you know, and she wouldn’t have had to tell anyone else she could have just let her mother in. And I’m happy that if they decide which it sounds like Padma to know, and she’s a yes. So if they decide to have a third child, at least she will have her mom. And I thought it was very nice to have on camera. And I also think that Jessel in the conversation kind of admitted that it wasn’t only about the old fashioned way of thinking but she also didn’t want to worry her mom, right, which I think as a daughter myself. I know. There are so many times things have happened. My mom obviously isn’t here. But like now with my dad where I don’t necessarily want to tell him something if it’s going to worry him. And as our parents get older, we don’t want to give them unnecessary stress. Right, right. So for me that was very relatable because I know as a 40 year old myself, I’m only going to let my dad in on something that’s troublesome if I have to if I can figure it out myself. I’m not going to give him at his age. Any stress that he doesn’t need. Yeah, agreed. I hear you. Well, should we talk a little just like that? Oh, I think we should. Yes, we should. I want to start with a conversation with Steve and Miranda. It made really made me cry like it was it was really good. It felt good. It felt right. And their story has seemed so off. Yeah. And I think it was relatable to anyone who’s been married to somebody. And regardless of why you split, right, raised the child or children with somebody and spent such a large portion of their life together. That once the initial anger settles, to be able to see that person and remember why you liked them or love them, not romantically, but just as a person, it felt really special. And even though they’re fictional characters for me, not for us, though, right? Like for me, it just made me so happy like I can picture them being friends. I can picture that when Brady eventually gets engaged, gets married, maybe has a child, whatever it is that Steven Miranda can be there
And as a unit or with their new partners and have holidays together and all of the things that, you know, ultimately, we all want the happy ending for the fictional characters we love, and it’s obviously would be totally asinine for them to put them back romantically at this point. Yeah, but we needed them to be okay.
I couldn’t agree more I have to say and I think you’re alluding this to I’m so glad the show backed off of this whole Steve being this adult old man that we got our lovable Steve who is with it back like I I’m so glad they backed off of that I like a gave him that business and Coney Island, which is like so cool. And they really and I liked that. They also integrated Aiden, which I mean, fuck Aiden, but at that at this point, but like how they kind of brought back like that they were friends like it felt organic. It put the show together? It did. I totally agree. I thought the whole idea of just cutting people off at the end of relationships was a really interesting one to explore. Not something I really remember, like seeing a show kind of go into much. And so, you know, I think there are some people who just can’t do it can’t be friendly or have friendship with exes. But I think they’re I think with a lot of people. I think there is opportunity for that. So I don’t know, what did you think about that? I think that I think it was an important i. And I don’t only think it’s because they have a child together. I think that they’re also very intertwined in each other’s lives because of their other relationships. Right? Steve is friends with Carrie. He is friends with Harry and Charlotte. If this if this was real life, Harry and him would be going into a ballgame together. Right. Harry would be popping in to scout to have a beer after his meetings. So the idea that they wouldn’t have contact is silly. And yeah, I think I think it was a little bit too much when Carrie was like Steve said he’ll never take his ring off and all of this I like that. They backed off that a bit because they almost made him like, like, first the old man thing and then like this, like pathetic guy who had no identity outside of his marriage is ridiculous. Yeah, I agree. Well, I was glad when when the condom was in the bed because I’m like, good for you. Because I feel I’ve felt bad for Steve, this whole situation, you know, right and and in shows there’s always that right? Like this, the i this idea that the more main character is able to evolve and so much, but the person they left sort of sits in the apartment staring out the window is ridiculous. Yeah, grade. What about Seema and her man? I think it’s Robbie, is his name. I mean, I love it. I think I do see her point that it seems too good to be true. Because they have highlighted how she’s been so unlucky in love. And like, now this guy comes in. And very quickly, all of this is happening. But I hope that it’s real. And I hope he keeps all of his promises, because I love how he really is who she has been waiting for. He doesn’t expect her to stop her career or her life. Like he asked her to go with him to the Sphinx. And she was like, hello, I’m a career woman. And he was like, of course, you can’t do that, you know? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think it would be hard to see it. If you’re in the middle of it, right? Like you people always say, you know, it’s sometimes it’s so much easier to see a situation if you’re not in it, or you can’t see it until you’re past it. But if you’re a Sema, and you’re in your 50s, and you’ve never been in love, and you’ve never had that true partnership that comes with love, it would be very hard, I think, to let your guard down. I mean, my attitude is kind of like, what’s the worst that can happen? Because if you’re going to always have this attitude, then you’re never going to be in love. appliqueing just Yeah, so. So you know, I mean, she’s not dropping her dropping everything. She’s not giving up her career, I think she can and should and will continue to have it all. I do think it’s a little like, the thing that bothers me about that whole story is such a small little one. But I think it’s really unrealistic that a director of that level would need to be the one who’s on the phone all the time. Yeah, yes, it is generally. Yeah, I mean, it’s usually going to or it’s going to be a hold for so and so. You know, yes. Maybe he has to talk to the Minister of wherever the Sphinx is right? And, you know, talk to him, but I don’t know that it’s going to be constantly on the phone. So that kind of annoyed me, but, okay, let’s talk about Aiden and Carrie, before we get into what happened. I want to know what you think. Do you think they moved too fast initially, because while we don’t know exactly how long it was, we know they first saw each other on Valentine’s Day. And then we know her last suburb, supper party was some point in the summer.

when she said to Miranda, was it a mistake to pick big, like, get a kit stop. I mean,
I can see a world where big is gone. And she finds comfort in Aiden, and they get back together. And clearly he’s always been in love with her that part, I believe. But the way that they made it seem like she had this lightbulb moment that she always should have been with him just felt far fetched to me. I think that it’s very clearly documented that big was the love of her life. Yeah, I don’t know. I, I was okay with it. I was okay with her being with him. I thought, if she was happy, good. I thought it was nice that her and Kathy tried to get on the same page. I thought that was very nice to see. Because that’s a reality for many blended families. Right. But be honest with you, I would have preferred it was just somebody new, like the podcast host or just a fresh fish. Yeah, I mean, my thought is this, like, they were in love before. And I do think like, the older you get, the faster you can know if somebody or something is right, because you get to know yourself better as you get older, right? And so I firmly subscribe to that theory. However, when there are kids in the equation, the kids are a part of the relationship, whether you like it or not, right, they are they are part of Aiden and maybe Carrie just didn’t get it. But I feel like the kids need to be considered, I think they need to be given time to get used to like a new relationship for their parents, which is why I think that she and Aiden moved. I think they moved too fast. I mean, for her to buy that huge place. Like she could have bought a different place. It’s not that giant and grand, you know, and they could have, she could have spent more time in Virginia. Like, I just felt like the whole time like the kids kind of while she was trying, I think I just don’t feel like the kids were really much considered in that relationship. And that’s why they move too fast. Well, right. So we go from Aden, not considering them to I can’t see you for five years. Okay. That conversation. It was funny because the family Jeanne who’s a great account, she does you know, so she if you don’t follow her, you should she kind of goes back and sees like, all different people and who they were related to ancestral, whatever. But she she does a lot of cool Bravo stuff. She’s like, she messaged me, because I had posted while I was watching and she was like, Do you not feel like this is being written by AI at this point? Like, when he says to her, you can’t visit me? Because I’ll think of you. But if you’re taking a five minute break, and not a five minute, say, a five year because a five minute would make more sense. Or five year break and not seeing anyone else. Wouldn’t you be thinking of her anyway? Yeah. And like, what 50 something year old woman who’s already lost her husband? Because he died is going to be like, Yeah, I’ll be on hold for five years for why for what am I holding for? Exactly? I couldn’t agree more. I kind of thought my opinion was unpopular, because I don’t think I would wait. You know, I don’t understand his decision. I feel like they couldn’t have slowed it down. I feel like she could have spent more time in Virginia as the first resort, right? I think with Aiden making this decision, and then Carrie having no input. Then if I were Carrie, no, I wouldn’t wait. Maybe after five years, like then you revisit but there’s too much life to be loved, especially when you’re in your 50s. You know, I’m not saying that Carrie should just jump into like Tinder first, but I think she shouldn’t close her heart to meeting somebody else. But because there’s no guarantees from Aiden either, and that’s the thing that didn’t make any sense. Are they going to talk? And like, let’s also look at this realistically, okay. Realistically, if the son’s name is Wyatt, right? If White is in this place, then what Aidan and Kathy need to immediately do is get him with a psychiatrist. They need to get him seen by a doctor and have a plan of action laid forth by a doctor that they trust because clearly his mental health is in a bad place. And that is not because Aiden has a new girlfriend him and Kathy had been split Kathy has has a boyfriend and it sounds like she’s had him for a while. So why it’s issue is has very little to do with anybody but Wyatt and or
If it does like you, it’s not realistic. It’s like, if my child was struggling, I couldn’t walk into work and be like, you’ll see me in five years because my child is struggling. And I have to quit my job. Right? Yeah. I mean, and if I could afford to maybe that would be a decision I would make. Who knows, but at or if he felt if Aiden felt like it impacted his son, and he wanted to solely focus, then he he can ask Carrie to wait. He can go do his thing and hope in five years or whatever it is, like, the whole thing. I just felt like it was written by AI.
That’s so funny. It never occurred to me, but that is, I don’t know. I do have to say so. Yes, I agree. It’s it was a weird I get why the show did it right. Because we want to see Carrie dating. It can’t just be Aiden, but maybe Aiden can always be in the wings. Like I get all that. I don’t know. Right. So here we go. Next season eight is going to pop up second to last episode, and Carrie is going to be happy with somebody else. But she’s gonna then question that relationship. Right. And then that’ll be Yeah. And becomes the new big. Yes, but I did love the final scenes of like, the couples all having their time together. Right. I you know, like, I really, I really enjoyed that. I thought like, that was so good and classic Sex in the City, except for evolved, right, because Charlotte and Harry are trying to figure out a phone. Yes. You know, Lisa, who suffered a miscarriage is being cuddled by her husband and comforted semen or her boyfriend are having a sexy night, Carrie and Aiden are having one last kind of hurrah, which also was ridiculous. Because you mean to tell me if you were confronted with that the first thing you would do is go have like a assess a sex marathon. Hit the fuck out of here. I you know what? The more I think about it, the more aggravated I get. But I have this question. Why wasn’t Steve at the dinner because he was invited to this? He wasn’t we It must have been like a quick comment. Like, I gotta work on the bar. Yeah, I don’t know. Because I was thinking the same thing. Because I was I thought part of the reason like, Miranda, it was like kind of weird that Carrie would be like, you all have to come, you know. Yeah. And she was like, I’m not going to stop my relationships with people because you decide to cut them out of your life. Right. So then where was Steve? Whatever.
