Because two consenting adults are doing the deed, they get kicked off the air? Seems a little extreme.
Even if they were both married at the time the affair started, it doesn’t mean they should be kicked off the air.
Glad ??
ABC is owned by Disney, two married anchors having an affair isn’t a good look for the family friendly network.
Good lol
The morality clause strikes again
Don’t make out with the people you work with……it’s easy.
I don’t want to think my tv folks are in one giant orgie. Those doors should have known it’s classless and trashy to be caught having the affair and not profusely apologize (even if that’s a fake appology).
No one wants to watch a dude/dudette who is cheating on spouse w their co-worker.
Consenting adults – fine…..but I don’t want to watch them act happy knowing they screwed over their family (divorce if you don’t like your spouse – don’t f*ck around)
Nobody wants to work with two people on a team having an affair. Any kind of fight and there goes the team.
I agree with Nana. *clap clap clap* I e don’t need to see affairs played out on our news shows. Don’t sleep with married people. What a world when we have to exclaim that.
Former news anchor here. It is standard operating procedure that your contract includes a “morality clause.” You absolutely get fired for things like this or dancing on a bar in public or anything “immoral” because you are the “face of the station/network.” It’s part of the job and industry. If you don’t like it you get a job in a different industry. No one should be outraged by them being fired.
Promotion time for those filling in!
