Kristen Doute is keeping it real about postpartum life — and let’s just say, her fiancé Luke Broderick is still waiting for his big moment.
“The Valley” star welcomed daughter Kaia Lily in June, but more than two months later, Kristen admitted she’s not ready to jump back into the bedroom. While doctors generally give the green light after six weeks, Kristen told People on August 21 that she and Luke still haven’t resumed intimacy.
“We’re not [having sex] yet, but I have a lot of promises,” Kristen confessed. “I really want to have the craziest sex with my fiancé. I’m just not there yet physically and mentally.”
Kristen Doute Opens Up About Postpartum Reality
Kristen, 41, called postpartum recovery the “fourth trimester” and said it’s been far harder than she anticipated. “Oh my God. Everything,” she admitted. “There’s a lot of talk about pregnancy, but … postpartum is the hardest in so many different ways: physically, mentally, emotionally. Just all of your feelings and your body images … It’s gnarly.”
She previously shared that her last weeks of pregnancy left her “physically miserable,” and Luke joked that she felt “large and in charge.” Despite the challenges, Kristen said she’s open to more kids in the future — but for now, she’s just embracing the chaos of new motherhood.
With Kristen back with her unfiltered honesty, it looks like “The Valley” season 3 will have no shortage of fresh drama — both in and out of the bedroom.
“The Valley” seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Peacock.
