Shannon Beador is facing new criticism after a former Bravo producer publicly accused the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star of mistreating producers and crew members while filming.
The allegations surfaced after comedian Heather McDonald shared a video joking about Shannon’s dramatic behavior on Instagram, prompting a former production crew member to weigh in with his own experience.

Heather posted a clip on July 18 with the caption, “Calling all real housewives in need of a storyline, spaces at The Shannon Beador Acting Class is filling up fast.”
In the comments, Patrick McDonald, who says he previously worked on multiple “Real Housewives” franchises, including “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” claimed Shannon behaved very differently once cameras stopped rolling.
“It’s most wild to see her go from absolutely losing her sh*t, yelling, screaming & cussing at the producers & crew right before the cameras turn on & then she instantly clicks into this tired old performative shtick,” Patrick wrote.
He continued, “One of the most miserable & narcissistic housewives across the entire brand.”
Heather replied to the comment, writing, “You would know! Haha.”
Patrick has previously spoken publicly about what he described as a toxic work environment while working on Bravo productions.

The latest claims come after similar accusations surfaced in recent years.
In September 2024, “Love Hotel” host Joel Kim Booster accused Shannon of treating staff members “like they are subhuman” during filming.
“Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period,” he wrote in an Instagram Story.
He later apologized for the comments.
Shannon addressed the allegations during an October 2024 appearance on “The Viall Files.”
“We all get tired. Each one of at points were like, ‘Ok, I haven’t eaten, I’m exhausted, or I need to walk away,’ but it wasn’t like berating and screaming,” she said.
“All I can say is I didn’t [do what he said]. I don’t treat people subhuman.”
Earlier this month, The U.S. Sun also cited an unnamed source who claimed production staff had spoken with Shannon about how she interacted with crew members during filming.
“[Shannon] had to be told to cool it more than once. To take her anger out on the problem or even the cast, not the people just doing their jobs,” the source told the outlet.
Production allegedly “had a word with Shannon about the way she can speak to the filming crew sometimes.”
Shannon has not publicly responded to Patrick’s latest comments.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 20 airs Thursdays on Bravo.
