Years after leaving “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Kristen Taekman is speaking candidly about her experience with Bethenny Frankel.
During a recent appearance on the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, Kristen didn’t mince words when asked about filming with Bethenny during her second season on the Bravo hit.
When host James Maas asked what Bethenny was like to her, Kristen’s answer was immediate.
“Horrible,” she said.
The former Housewife went on to explain why she believes Bethenny treated her differently than some of the other women in the cast.
Kristen Taekman Thinks Bethenny Frankel Saw Her as an Easy Target
According to Kristen, she believes Bethenny viewed her as someone she could easily pick on.
The former reality star said their interactions didn’t end when filming wrapped, which made the situation even more difficult.
“She lived in my neighborhood, and when I was done filming, I freaking saw her every day because our kids went to the same school,” Kristen explained.
She continued, “You know how you’re like, ‘Yay, I’m done filming. I don’t have to see these people again.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”
Many fans of “RHONY” have long argued that Kristen was unfairly targeted during her time on the show. Her most memorable conflict came with Ramona Singer, who famously threw a plastic wine glass at her during a cast trip, leaving Kristen bleeding.
While Kristen managed to maintain relationships with many of her castmates, her issues with Bethenny clearly left a lasting impression.
Bethenny Frankel Has Faced Similar Criticism Before
Kristen isn’t the first person to publicly accuse Bethenny of treating others poorly.
Back in 2021, comedian Jessica Kirson shared her own experience working on Bethenny’s daytime talk show and didn’t hold back when discussing their interactions.
“[She’s the] rudest person on Earth,” Jessica said on the “So What Do You Really Do?” podcast.
According to Jessica, she worked as a warm-up comic on the show for months but claimed Bethenny never acknowledged her.
“I did warm up for her show for months, and she didn’t say hi to me once. She literally talked to me like I was a piece of s***,” she alleged.
Jessica later expanded on those claims on social media.
“For months, you never said hello, and you ordered me around like a dog,” she wrote. “One day I walked off set because I had enough of your s***.”
She continued, “She was never like, hello, I’m Bethenny. Or, hi, thank you so much. You’re doing a great job. Or, hi, what’s your name?”
According to Jessica, the situation eventually became too much.
“I took the microphone and put it down on the side of the stage and literally left. I was like, I’m done,” she recalled. “I [would] rather do comedy on the street with a bucket than be treated like that.”
While Bethenny has not publicly responded to Kristen’s latest comments, the former “RHONY” star’s remarks are already reigniting conversation among fans about some of the show’s most memorable cast feuds.
Kristen was most recently seen on “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy,” which is currently available to stream on Peacock.
