Austen Kroll is weighing in on the ongoing fallout surrounding Amanda Batula and West Wilson — and apparently Andy Cohen had thoughts too.
As Bravo fans continue spiraling over the drama unfolding between the “Summer House” castmates, Austen revealed that Cohen texted him shortly after Amanda and West confirmed their relationship publicly on March 31.
Speaking with Woman’s World, the “Southern Charm” star said the Bravo universe immediately started buzzing once the relationship news broke.
“I don’t know all the details. I know what everyone knows,” Austen admitted.
Still, that didn’t stop Cohen from reaching out to Austen, Shep Rose, and Craig Conover after the story exploded online.
“He was like, ‘Aren’t you guys just glad that it’s not you?’” Austen shared. “And I was like, ‘Yes, yes, I am.’”
Austen Kroll Says He’ll Be ‘Seated’ for the ‘Summer House’ Reunion
Although Austen admitted he doesn’t know every detail behind the Amanda and West situation, he confirmed he plans to watch the highly anticipated Summer House reunion.
“It’s been tough to watch a show your friends are on, and to see them do things, and this and that,” Austen explained.
“But yeah, I think I’m interested to watch the reunion.”
The reality star also shared an update after attending the premiere event for In the City.
“What I will tell you is that I was at the premiere for In the City last night, and Kyle had a smile on his face all night, and so did Lindsay,” Austen said.
“I’m just happy for them in this new chapter.”
Austen also looked back at his time on Winter House and joked about scenes involving Andrea Denver that never aired.
“At first, Craig and I were like, what are we gonna have in common with this hot Italian model?” Austen said.
“And it turns out that he was so much fun, and he loves American culture. We even had him pledge a pretend frat, and they just cut it all.”
Austen Kroll Teases More Relationship Drama in ‘Southern Charm’ Season 12
Austen also opened up about his relationship with Salley Carson, which became a storyline during season 11 of “Southern Charm,” in an interview with TV Insider.
While the pair ultimately said they were just friends by the end of the season, Salley hinted to TV Insider that their story is far from over heading into season 12.
“We are good friends,” Salley explained.
“But I think to figure out where we went from the [season 11] reunion, you’re just going to have to tune in.”
She also admitted the pair spent significant time together between filming seasons.
“We naturally [spent] a lot of time together whether cameras are around or not,” she shared.
According to Austen, returning to filming forced them to have more direct conversations about their relationship.
“It’s one of those things where it’s like, you can’t just text it in your group chat,” Austen explained.
“You have to articulate it out loud so people can hear it.”
Austen also teased that fans will see more of his complicated friendship with Craig after their emotional season 11 reunion exchange.
“The [season 11] reunion for me was one giant therapy session with Craig that I desperately needed to have,” Austen admitted.
“You guys see 84 minutes, but it’s 13 people, we’re there for seven hours. It’s a lot of unseen footage and stuff.”
“So for me it was truly like … get it all out there so you never have to do it again,” he added.
“Southern Charm” season 12 is currently in production.
