How Dorit Kemsley Built Her Career Before Bravo
Before RHOBH, Dorit spent nearly a decade living and working in Italy, where she built a career in fashion and swimwear design.
After graduating from Quinnipiac University with a degree in design, marketing, and communications, Dorit moved to Italy, where she spent nearly a decade working for a global swimwear company. Her time in Europe later inspired her own fashion ventures, including Beverly Beach by Dorit and a bridal collaboration with designer Nektaria.
Dorit entered the Bravo world through her friendship with Lisa Vanderpump, eventually joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during season 7 in 2016.
Her glam-heavy style, designer fashion, and outspoken personality quickly made her one of the franchise’s most recognizable cast members.
RHOBH Salary and Fashion Businesses
Reality television became a major source of income for Dorit after joining RHOBH.
Over the years, much of her storyline revolved around luxury fashion, elaborate vacations, glam squads, and her marriage to PK. Her television fame also helped promote her businesses and social media partnerships.
Outside of Bravo, Dorit launched Beverly Beach, a swimwear and resort-wear line inspired by her years living in Italy. She later expanded into bridal fashion through a collaboration with Nektaria.
The Bravo star has also operated her namesake fashion company, Dorit, which focuses on Italian-inspired clothing and accessories.
PK, Luxury Living, and Financial Controversy
Dorit’s relationship with PK became one of the defining parts of her RHOBH storyline.
The couple married in 2015 and share two children, a son, Jagger, and a daughter, Phoenix. They were also known for their friendship with singer Boy George, who occasionally lived with the family and served as Jagger’s godfather.
However, financial issues followed the couple for years.
In 2018, reports surfaced that PK owed $3.6 million in gambling debts to the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Dorit also faced legal issues involving Beverly Beach after a former business partner claimed he fronted more than $200,000 for the company.
The couple denied those allegations.
Their financial situation became even more public after Dorit and PK announced their separation in 2024. In 2025, Dorit officially filed for divorce following photos of PK kissing reality personality Shana Wall.
Foreclosure Claims and Luxury Spending Allegations
The biggest headlines surrounding Dorit’s finances came in 2026 during the couple’s divorce proceedings.
According to court filings obtained by TMZ, PK asked a judge to authorize the immediate sale of the couple’s Los Angeles home, claiming it was facing foreclosure and carrying more than $6 million in mortgage debt.
PK also accused Dorit of excessive luxury spending while the home allegedly faced financial trouble.
Court filings cited by TMZ claimed Dorit spent approximately $287,000 on designer shopping between October 2025 and January 2026, including:
$68,000 at Louis Vuitton
$70,000 at Chanel
$38,000 at Hermès
$21,000 at Net-a-Porter
$20,000 at Anton Jewelry
$6,000 at Gucci
PK further alleged that Dorit spent more than $1 million overall on travel, glam, and clothing while contributing only a small percentage toward family expenses.
The filings also reportedly included text messages in which Dorit expressed concern about the possibility that the family home would be sold at foreclosure.
At the time of the reports, Dorit had not publicly responded to every allegation included in the filings.
Dorit Kemsley Real Estate Portfolio
Real estate has also played a major role in Dorit and PK’s public financial story.
In 2019, the couple purchased a $6.5 million Encino mansion, which later became central to their divorce battle and foreclosure concerns.
The home was previously listed for sale by Mauricio Umansky, husband of Kyle Richards, but never sold.
The Kemsleys also previously lived in a Beverly Hills mansion they co-owned with a business partner. That property was eventually sold after several price reductions.
