Rumors are swirling in Beverly Hills, and this one is major. According to a tip sent to Bravo and Cocktails from our friends over at Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, longtime star Kyle Richards may be stepping away from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” ahead of season 16 — and it’s already shaking up production behind the scenes.
Sources claim Kyle recently informed producers of her decision during what was described as a “lengthy, emotional meeting.” While Bravo and Evolution Media reportedly planned to bring her back — even centering the next season around her — Kyle is said to have opted out.
Kyle Richards Has Several Reasons for Leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’
Several personal factors are reportedly behind the decision. Kyle’s youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, is preparing to graduate, and Kyle has long expressed interest in spending more time away from Los Angeles once that milestone arrived. Off-camera priorities appear to be playing a big role in this next chapter.
There’s also the matter of Kyle’s evolving relationships within the cast.
Following the season 15 reunion, where she and Dorit Kemsley attempted to move forward after years of tension, Kyle is said to feel less connected to the group overall. According to the tip, she remains closest to her sister Kathy Hilton and Erika Jayne, but sees the rest of the cast as more distant.
Another key factor? Kyle reportedly does not want to share details of her ongoing divorce from Mauricio Umansky on camera, especially as legal proceedings move forward. That decision alone could significantly impact her role on a show that has documented so much of her personal life over the years.
With Kyle potentially out, production is reportedly reworking its plans for season 16. Names like Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and Dorit are being floated as central figures as Bravo figures out the franchise’s next direction. A brief pause in filming could follow as producers regroup — though not for long, given the show’s strong ratings.
Meanwhile, Kyle’s exit would come as season 15 wraps and the franchise prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary this summer, potentially marking a full-circle moment for one of its original stars.
Of course, fans shouldn’t expect confirmation anytime soon. As the tip notes, an official announcement may still be months away.
Still, if true, this would mark the end of an era in Beverly Hills — and the start of a major shakeup fans won’t want to miss.

Boz, Rachel and Dorit can carry the season. Theyre the more interesting ones this season anyways.
I’m guessing this also has something to do with her relationship with Morgan Wade since she was just spotted with her 🤔
PLEASE BE TRUE
We are most than past the time for Kyle’s exit.
Imagine next season opens with Dorit walking up to Villa Rosa and ringing the door bell.
It’s time. But don’t center it around any one person next season. A show should have an ensemble cast where, if any one person left, it wouldn’t be catastrophic.
Yay! Hate Kyle! She’s been evil for years!
Goodbye Kyle!!
Kyle has not been sharing what’s really going on in her life. If she’s happy and with Morgan, good for her. It’s been tiring and boring, maybe Kyle can take a pause for now. Please no more Dorit, without Kyle her storyline is done. Rachel is a great addition let’s center it around her and her friends.
I agree. Rachel has and can carry a show on her own. Bev Hills isn’t what it was when Kyle was making drama. I’m ready for a change.
Good for her. She’s been a great housewife for the most part. BH was always my favorite but the last few years it’s been a bore. Another franchise I’ll probably stop watching.
Bye. Long overdue
she has been so brutal
And this is when I stop watching. Loved seeing Kyle and her family on the show. Probably won’t be tuning in after she’s gone.
don’t tease us like that!
“Does not want to share the details of her ongoing divorce?” So she who demands that others be open and honest doesn’t want to be open and honest? Imagine that. Goodbye Kyle – it’s long overdue.
Her stepping away rumors come towards the end of every season. If true and for the reasons listed…good for her.
Great to hear that Kyle Richard’s will not be on the BH housewives. Ericka Jayne should be next. and Then the 3 wicked witches will be permanently terminated. The three being Kyle, Erika, and Lisa Rhina. I stopped watching HBH when Lisa Vanderpump was removed. I always felt that those witches conspired to get her fired and Dorit was used by Kyle to help stir the pot. Please please please fire Kyle Richard’s and Erika Jayne.
I stopped watching HBH for several seasons after Lisa V left , but I began watching Vanderpump Rules instead. I didn’t go back until Lisa R’s final season. Loved that Evil witch gone.
I love The positive relationship that Boz, Dorit, & Rachael Roe are creating. I want more positive and good examples of strong women that don’t tear each other down to build themselves up.
If she leaves I stop watching. I find the show an absolute snoozefest now and I loathe Erika, Dorit, Sutton and Boz. The only ones I like are Amanda, Jen, Rachel and Kyle. Kyle is funny and grounded. The others are a toxic mess, and keep trying to pounce on that new girl. It’s vile. Yes…even Boz. She’s phonier than a 3 dollar bill.
