The next round of wealthy vacationers is officially packing designer luggage for France.
“The White Lotus” season 4 is heading to a luxury resort in France, and HBO has already unveiled a stacked cast for the next installment of the hit anthology series created by Mike White.
As with previous seasons, the show will follow a new group of privileged guests whose picturesque getaway is anything but relaxing. And judging by this lineup, the drama is already brewing.
Big Names Join ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Cast
Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka were the first stars confirmed for season 4 in December 2025, according to Variety.
Helena Bonham Carter brings serious prestige to the French-set season. The actress has earned two Academy Award nominations for “The King’s Speech” and “The Wings of the Dove,” along with nine Golden Globe nominations. She’s also known for her roles in “Fight Club,” the “Harry Potter” franchise and “The Crown.”
Alexander Ludwig, who starred in “Vikings” and played Cato in “The Hunger Games,” shared his excitement on Instagram after the announcement. “Beyond honored. Huge thank you to Mike for your trust in me and can’t wait to bring this unbelievable material to life,” he wrote on December 19.
Steve Coogan, best known for portraying Alan Partridge and for films like “Philomena,” “Tropic Thunder” and the “Night at the Museum” franchise, will also check in. Coogan co-wrote “Philomena,” earning Oscar nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture.
From Pop Star to TV Debut: More Season 4 Additions
AJ Michalka, known to many as one half of the sister duo Aly & AJ, is also joining season 4. Beyond her music career, AJ starred in “The Goldbergs” and its spinoff “Schooled.” She celebrated the news on Instagram, writing, “Checking in! Let’s party Mike.”
Caleb Jonte Edwards, an emerging Australian actor who has appeared in “Black Snow” and the short film “The Man and the Woman,” rounds out the international mix.
Model Marissa Long will make her television debut in season 4. “I’m unbelievably honored to be joining this with such incredible people. Thank you Mike White!!!!!!!!!! I’m speechless and cannot wait for this journey, feeling deeply blessed.. LETS GO!!!!” she wrote on Instagram.
Chris Messina, fresh off a two-season run on Peacock’s “Based on a True Story,” also joins the cast. He is widely recognized for roles in “The Mindy Project,” “Sharp Objects,” “The Sinner,” “Argo” and “Air.”
A New Location, Same Signature Chaos
“The White Lotus” was previously filmed at real Four Seasons resorts, starting in Hawaii for season 1, moving to Italy for season 2, and Thailand for season 3.
Season 4’s move to France continues the show’s globe-trotting tradition. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, fans can expect another layered exploration of privilege, power, and personal unraveling — all set against a stunning European backdrop.
