Hollywood is grieving the loss of Catherine O’Hara.

O’Hara died Friday at her home in Los Angeles after a brief illness, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was 71.

The two-time Emmy winner became a generational icon thanks to unforgettable roles in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Beetlejuice” (and its sequel), “Home Alone,” “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” and “The Studio.”

Following the news of her death, co-stars and longtime friends took to social media to honor O’Hara and reflect on her extraordinary impact.

Macaulay Culkin, who played her son in the “Home Alone” films, shared an emotional post on Instagram.

“Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say,” he wrote. “I love you. I’ll see you later.”

Her Studio co-stars, Seth Rogen and Ike Barinholtz, as well as Apple TV and Lionsgate Television, and the show’s larger cast and crew also paid tribute to her.

“Really don’t know what to say … I told O’Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I’d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen,” Rogen wrote on Instagram. “Home Alone was the movie that made me want to make movies. Getting to work with her was a true honor. She was hysterical, kind, intuitive, generous … she made me want to make our show good enough to be worthy of her presence in it. This is just devastating. We’re all lucky we got to live in a world with her in it.”

Barinholtz said, “I never in a million years thought I would get to work with Catherine O’Hara let alone become friends with her. So profoundly sad she’s somewhere else now So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you Catherine I love you.”

Dan Levy, co-creator and star of “Schitt’s Creek,” also shared a touching tribute.

“What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years. Having spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family,” he wrote. “It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her.”

Levy added, “My heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke and every member of her big, beautiful family.”

Her “Beetlejuice” co-star Michael Keaton also paid tribute.

“We go back before the first Beetlejuice. She’s been my pretend wife, my pretend nemesis and my real life, true friend,” he wrote. “This one hurts. Man am I gonna miss her. Thinking about Beau as well.”

Director Tim Burton shared, “Catherine, I love you. This picture shows how much light you gave to all of us. You were a special part of my life and after life.”

And Pedro Pascal, who worked alongside O’Hara on “The Last of Us,” wrote,

“Oh, genius to be near you. Eternally grateful. There is less light in my world, this lucky world that had you, will keep you, always. Always,” followed by a heart. “The one and ONLY #CatherineOHara”
