Dorinda Medley is never one to hold back, and now she’s sharing a surprisingly chilly BravoCon story involving “Southern Charm” newcomer Salley Carson. While chatting with Craig Conover on SiriusXM’s “Reality Checked,” the “Real Housewives of New York” alum revealed that her experience with Salley at BravoCon 2025 was far from warm and fuzzy.

Dorinda didn’t mince words when the topic came up.

“I’ll be honest with you, Salley wasn’t that friendly at BravoCon,” Dorinda said, prompting a slightly awkward reaction from Craig.

Craig, who had a brief and one-sided flirtation with Salley on the current season of “Southern Charm,” was quick to defend her. “She’s always been friendly to me,” he said, adding that he sees Salley as “a friend and a sister.”

Dorinda, however, stood by her impression. “I was surprised because, you know, I’m very friendly to everyone,” she explained. According to Dorinda, she crossed paths with Salley multiple times during BravoCon weekend and felt the vibe was off. “I was on the bus with her a couple times. I think she was very preoccupied with her look and Instagram,” Dorinda said, before adding a detail that clearly stuck with her. “She had sunglasses on at 7:00 at night.”

Craig admitted the sunglasses didn’t go unnoticed among the Bravo veterans. “The sunglasses bothered a lot of Housewives,” he said. Dorinda agreed, joking that she barely recognized Salley at first. “I was like, ‘Who is she?’” Dorinda recalled that before learning Salley was part of the new season cast.

Dorinda Medley Is Not the Only Bravo Star Coming For Salley Carson

Salley’s BravoCon moment isn’t the first time she’s rubbed people the wrong way. On season 10 of “Southern Charm,” viewers watched Salley pursue Craig, even as he showed little interest. At one point, she also seemed to discourage her friends from flirting with him, even though everyone was single.

The tension around Salley extends beyond Dorinda. Former “Southern Charm” cast member Taylor Ann Green recently fired back at a fan who compared her to Salley. “Totally.. cuz I’m capable of manipulating a doctor into cheating on his wife,” Taylor wrote on social media, accusing Salley of questionable behavior during filming and calling out what she saw as hypocrisy.

Between BravoCon shade, on-screen awkwardness, and off-camera clapbacks, Salley is quickly becoming one of the more polarizing new faces in Charleston. Whether fans see her as misunderstood or messy, one thing is clear: she’s already making waves across the Bravo universe.
