Kyle Cooke is doing damage control after Amanda Batula claimed he stayed out until 6:30 a.m. and fell asleep at a fan’s apartment. The rumor, dropped in the “Summer House” season 10 teaser, immediately set off alarm bells for Bravo fans—and Ciara Miller, who reacted exactly how viewers did, calling the situation “f—— insane.” Now Kyle is trying to set the record straight, even if his version still raises eyebrows.
Kyle Responds to Amanda’s Claim and Gives His Couch Explanation
Speaking to People, Kyle made it clear he disagreed with Amanda’s account. “There’s no excuse for staying out as late as I did, but I want to be clear that I did not sleep at a fan’s apartment,” he said. According to Kyle, the night started at an event Amanda chose not to attend, then shifted to a bar, and then to an after-party—because naturally, nothing good ever starts after midnight.
“I don’t use anything to keep myself wired,” Kyle explained, “so I think I ended up falling asleep on a couch, and suddenly it was almost 6 a.m.” He added, “Do I regret the situation? Absolutely. But that’s the truth and full extent of what happened.” Translation: yes, he stayed out all night, yes, he fell asleep at a stranger’s place, but no, he insists it was totally innocent.
Meanwhile, Amanda’s frustration in the teaser is unmistakable. She tells the girls she’s exhausted by Kyle’s DJ lifestyle. “I wanted him to stop going out and partying, and he found a career where he goes out late and parties,” she says. Kyle, on the other hand, believes he isn’t getting the credit he deserves. “I played the biggest gig of my life, and Amanda couldn’t care less,” he says. “I don’t know what matters to her anymore.” Their issues clearly go deeper than one sunrise stumble home. At one point, Kyle even blames their tension on “compatibility, chemistry [and] intimacy.”
The teaser then shows Ciara encouraging Amanda to give Kyle an ultimatum if he doesn’t step up—because someone had to say it.
Rumors are also swirling outside the show. A TikToker noticed Amanda wasn’t wearing her ring at a recent event, kickstarting speculation that the couple had separated. Kyle tried to shut that down on Housewives Nightcap. “We’re very much still together,” he said. “Our apartment still has Amanda’s stuff all over it.” He added that they’ve never tried to appear perfect. “We wear it all on our sleeve.”
Still, between the fan-apartment rumor, the 6:30 a.m. arrival, and the couch explanation Kyle is sticking to, season 10 is already doing what it came to do: blow up the internet.
