Steven McBee Jr. is keeping his focus on the future—even as his father and the patriarch of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” prepares to report to federal prison. The eldest McBee son revealed that the family farm is bracing for a major transition as Steve McBee Sr. begins his two-year sentence in South Dakota.
McBee shared the update in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish at BravoCon 2025, just days before Steve Sr. will surrender. The reality star said the family is navigating a whirlwind of changes on McBee Farm & Cattle Co. in Gallatin, Missouri.
“There’s a lot of changes at the farm,” Steven said. “I mean, [there have been] more changes in our life this year we’ve had, and we show it all. We put it all out there. There are so many highs and lows coming.”
And yes, he means it literally. The farm isn’t just hay and cowboy hats anymore—it’s expanding, diversifying and evolving even as the family deals with legal drama, newborn babies, and business pressure.
‘The McBee Dynasty’ Season 3 Will Show Everything
According to Steven, the upcoming season will show the family confronting their biggest challenge yet.
“Obviously, [we’ve] gone through some situations here,” he said. “My dad’s situation, you know, we were already in an uphill fight before that, and then with that coming about, just put us in an entirely new challenge that we’ve never faced before.”
Season 3 will also spotlight the McBee next generation—literally. Steven mentioned his baby nieces, Blair Collins McBee and Summer Leigh McBee, saying the family is determined to protect the future of the farm.
“It’s just gonna be us uniting and trying to make sure we can save the farm for the next generation,” Steven explained.
Steven and his brothers Jesse and Cole echoed the sentiment at the Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo panel. They described Steve Sr. as “the most optimistic person we’ve ever met in our lives.”
“The man was built to handle stressful situations. If anything, we’re more stressed out than he is,” Steven added. “We’re just here to love and support him through this time, and as a family, we’ll get through anything together.”
Steve Sr. was ordered to serve 24 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to crop insurance fraud in 2024. He will serve his sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton, South Dakota. After his release, he will spend another two years under supervised monitoring.
Season 3 of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” does not yet have a premiere date, but Steven promised it will be “a wild ride.”
