Steven McBee Jr. is making it clear that his new romance with Allie Eklund is already worlds different from the relationship drama fans watched last season. The “McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” star went public with Allie earlier this month, and according to him, she has earned the most meaningful approval of all — from his mom, Kristi McBee.

After watching Steven’s on-and-off situation with Calah Jackson play out and strain the family, viewers have been curious whether the McBees would welcome someone new. Based on Steven’s comments, Kristi may already be Allie’s biggest fan.

Steven McBee Jr. Says His Mom, Kristi, Has Already ‘Adopted’ Allie

During BravoCon, Steven told The Daily Dish that Allie has slipped into the family dynamic with no tension, no resistance, and no side-eyes from Kristi.

“Things have been great. It has been such a good experience dating someone that brings so much peace to my life and is integrated with my family so well,” he shared. “My mom probably loves her more than I do already. My mom is like, ‘I’ve got a new best friend.’ They text more than Allie and I do.”

Steven confirmed the relationship on Instagram on November 3, nearly a year after ending things with Calah. Kristi famously called that pairing “toxic,” saying she would do anything to get Calah out of his life. Now Steven says he is thinking about commitment and family differently after watching brothers Jesse McBee and Cole McBee welcome babies.

“Seeing my brothers have their babies has definitely caused me to have a new perspective,” he said. “It could be in the very near future.”

Steven also revealed that the relationship didn’t start smoothly. He initially slid into Allie’s Instagram DMs — and got ignored — until their mutual friend William Van Orsdel stepped in with what Steven called an “A+ referral and assist.” After several messages and months of trying, they finally met. “It was so much fun. It was the best night ever,” he said.
