Kim Zolciak is ready to talk — and she’s not sugarcoating her thoughts on daughter Ariana Biermann’s split from longtime boyfriend Hudson McLeroy. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum opened up about the breakup during BravoCon 2025, giving fans a rare, clear-eyed take on a relationship that’s been intertwined with her family for over a decade.

Speaking during a fan Q&A, Zolciak said the breakup didn’t blindside her. “I’ve known them forever and ever. I love them,” she explained. “But they need to grow. They’ve been together on and off for 10 years and they’re just going in different directions.”

And when she says “forever,” she means it — McLeroy and Biermann were literally born in the same hospital, just eight hours apart. Their families have been connected for decades, and according to Zolciak, that bond isn’t breaking any time soon. “They’re friends,” she added. “I don’t ever see them not being friends to be honest. They’re best friends actually.”

Ariana Biermann Says She’s ‘The Happiest’ She’s Been Since the Split

Biermann echoed her mom’s calm energy during her own BravoCon appearance. “I’m the happiest I’ve been in a while,” she told fans, making it clear she’s confident in her decision. She emphasized that nothing dramatic went down: “It was very amicable and not in a bad place. I think you just outgrow people and that’s what happened.”

The pair’s relationship — now officially over — began when they were just 14. They moved to New York City together in July 2024 and documented their apartment search on Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC.” But after a year in Manhattan, the two quietly called it quits.

At the time of the breakup last month, Biermann posted a thoughtful message to followers: “Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways… Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s okay.”
