Tell me you don’t crave attention without telling me you don’t crave attention.

JT Thomas is officially living his “Eat, Pray, Love” era — Bravo-style. The former “Southern Charm” star took to Instagram this week to share more details about his sudden decision to leave the United States behind and start over in Bali. And while his reasoning remains a little murky, JT says he’s already met an “amazing woman” and might be settling into paradise faster than expected.

JT Thomas Explains Why He Left the U.S. for Bali

In a series of emotional Instagram videos posted on November 2 and 4, JT explained that he “sold everything” — his business, real estate, car, and even his watch — to begin what he called his “new life” overseas.

“So today is the first day of my new journey in life,” he said. “I have pulled the ripcord and I am living in Bali. I guess [I’m] retired, if you want to call it that. I left my community, friends, my family. And why? I don’t even think it needs explanation.”

Fans, however, aren’t so sure about that last part. JT hinted that his decision was about escaping the “chaos” of his life back home. “I decided to sell everything … and just start anew until things become normal again — if that ever happens,” he explained.

The 40-year-old admitted he didn’t know anyone in Bali and confessed that while it’s “paradise,” it could get lonely without community. “I’m going to miss Thanksgiving with my family back in the States,” he said. “But I’ve got to figure out how to fill my time, make friends, and start over.”

JT Says He Met an ‘Amazing Woman’ in Bali

Just two days later, JT gave followers an update — and it sounds like his social life is already off to a solid start.

“My country’s imploding, so I moved to Bali and sold everything that I own,” he said with a straight face. “When you move to a new place, it’s critical to figure out how to build a new community, especially when you’re a 40-year-old single dude.”

That’s when he revealed that he met a woman while hanging out by the pool near his villa. “Usually, I don’t start conversations with strangers … but I just said screw it,” he shared. The woman, a widow who’s been visiting Bali for years, invited him to dinner later that night. “She introduces me to some of the most lovely people … and we had a lovely meal in Bali. I think I’ve got some friends now. We’ll see.”

JT described her as “an amazing woman” who “just clicked” with him instantly — which, of course, had Bravo fans buzzing.
