The “OG of the OC” is back with some unfiltered opinions — and this time, Vicki Gunvalson is setting her sights on Heather Dubrow. On a new episode of her podcast “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Vicki made it clear she doesn’t think Heather fits in with the “Republican, conservative” vibe of Orange County.
Vicki Gunvalson Says Heather Dubrow Is ‘More Beverly Hills Than OC’
“I’m friendly with [Heather],” Vicki explained. “She does not fit into Orange County. She’s very liberal. Orange County is a Republican conservative county. I speak to the women in Orange County. We know who our friends are with.”
When asked what happens when politics come up in conversation, Vicki said, “We typically don’t talk about it. It’s very clear, and Kelly Dodd is very clear on speaking about it outwardly. I don’t say, but it’s very clear where Heather and Terry are coming from.”
Vicki also admitted that from a production standpoint, it feels “weird” watching Heather film scenes on “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” “They don’t even pretend,” she said. “She just goes to Orange County to film with them.”
Vicki Says Heather Dubrow Should Move to Beverly Hills
Vicki didn’t hold back when it came to Heather’s wealth either. “It’s no secret that Heather and Dr. Terry are rich rich,” she said. “So watching people resent someone who’s much wealthier than they are — that’s not a fun storyline. And it’s a weird undertone.”
She continued, “I don’t resent anything they’ve built or inherited. It just… she just doesn’t fit in. It’s obvious because that first or second season when she came back, they made her feel like she was not one of us. Which is bizarre because we’re watching this show to see these extravagant ways of life.”
According to Vicki, the issue may be more about lifestyle than politics. “House values are $1 million to $5 million in Orange County. Hers is like $50 million. It’s hard to break bread with that,” she quipped.
Her final verdict? “I think Heather needs to go on ‘Beverly Hills.’ Or pause her,” Vicki said, as her co-host Christian Gray Snow agreed.
