Mike Brockway didn’t need to leave “Love Is Blind” season 9 with a fiancée to become one of the most talked-about contestants. In fact, he was already stirring up conversation before the season even dropped.

Mike Brockway’s Job, Controversy, and Pod Romance

When Netflix posted the season 9 cast announcement on September 10, followers immediately zeroed in on Mike, a 38-year-old real estate investor originally from New York now living in Denver. He teased in his bio, “I’m passionate about helping other people succeed.” But the comments section quickly told a different story — with multiple users claiming to be former employees, and not all of them had glowing things to say.

Mike described himself in the pods as part of a “tribe,” which he didn’t elaborate on. Internet sleuths quickly linked him to Gobundance, a group for people with net worths over $1 million. On LinkedIn, Mike lists himself as the owner of Zen Haus Homes, a luxury Airbnb brand boasting 15+ high-end properties. Before that, he worked in wealth management at Goldman Sachs and Fidelity.

Then came the TikTok receipts. On October 2, creator Story Time With Rikkii shared documents and messages from cleaning companies and service providers accusing Mike and Zen Haus Homes of owing them thousands of dollars. One company, Scrub Club Denver, commented, “You owe us thousands of dollars, Mike. Since you’ve ignored all my messages and my lawyer, maybe the Love Is Blind Instagram page is your preferred method of communication.” Mike hasn’t publicly addressed the claims.

In the pods, Mike dated “Sparkle” Megan Walerius, bonding over wealth and health. But Megan ultimately got engaged to single dad Jordan Keltner. Whether Mike factors into her future remains to be seen.

“Love Is Blind” season 9 episodes 1–6 are streaming now on Netflix. New episodes drop October 8, 15, and 22.
