“Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Lynne Curtin is spilling more details about the infamous “naked wasted” dinner party — one of the most controversial moments in RHOC history.
Vicki Gunvalson and Lynne Curtin Recall the ‘Naked Wasted’ Party
The former reality star, who appeared on seasons four and five, opened up on Vicki Gunvalson’s podcast “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast” and addressed the long-running rumor that Gretchen Rossi was “drugged” that night.
Lynne didn’t hold back. “I talked to Tamra. I was like, ‘Are you okay?’” Lynne shared, referencing Tamra Judge, who originally joked about getting Gretchen “naked wasted.”
“It’s a lot, the whole thing. I was there at the ‘naked wasted’ party … Yes, [Gretchen] did do drugs. You know why? Cause alcohol is a drug … She was drugged. She drugged herself, though. She decided to do that.”
Vicki, who also attended the party, backed her up: “But nobody drugged her, that I saw.”
Lynne explained that she even tried to step in that night. “[I wanted] to take her home [that night] … Frank and I were sober, we’ll give you a ride home,” she recalled. “[Gretchen] spent the night [at Tamra’s].”
Vicki, sounding surprised, added: “I didn’t know that.”
Lynne Curtin Calls Current RHOC Drama ‘Manufactured’
While Lynne made it clear she thinks it’s time to move on from the “naked wasted” storyline, she also threw a little shade at the current cast. “It’s just so ancient history, you guys,” she said. “We have to move [on]. I mean, really, it’s like, why can’t they all just get along and be happy? It used to be so much fun.”
She then accused the newer Housewives of cranking up fake storylines. “It’s manufactured drama at this point right now,” Lynne claimed. “Nobody acts like that, none of my girlfriends act like that. We’re all happy and fun.”
As for whether she’d ever come back to “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Lynne admitted she’d be less restrained this time. “You know what, my mom was still alive [when I filmed before], and I couldn’t say the C-word or the whatever word,” she explained. “I was kind of guarded because it’s like, ‘I have to be a lady.’ … [Now] I would give them a little more piece of my mind.”
