Craig Conover is officially stepping into a new role in the entertainment industry. The “Southern Charm” star has launched Plaid Horse Productions, a television production company aimed at developing a slate of reality series.
Craig Conover Launches Production Company
Conover partnered with Media Trifecta, a company with an impressive track record in unscripted television, according to Deadline. The team includes Co-CEO Sharone Ostrovsky, who has worked on “Cash Cab” and “Ghost Hunters of the Grand River,” Chief Creative Officer Kevin Healey, who previously held leadership roles at Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat and Propagate Content, and development consultant Matt Hanna, who has executive-produced shows such as HBO Max’s “Stylish with Jenna Lyons.”
Jerry Casselano, Conover’s longtime business partner and co-founder of Sewing Down South, will serve as president of Plaid Horse Productions.
According to the announcement, the company is preparing to bring to market projects including ensemble-driven reality series, competition formats, relationship experiments, and socially driven content.
A New Chapter For the ‘Southern Charm‘ Star
“After spending over a decade in front of the camera, it feels awesome to be stepping behind the scenes and getting involved from day one—helping shape the vision, build out the programming, and connect with the right people,” Conover said. “Being part of something from the ground up like this is really exciting, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better team to bring Plaid Horse Productions to life.”
Ostrovsky praised Conover’s instincts, noting, “Craig has proven himself to be a true creative force—he knows what makes stories connect, what makes talent undeniable, and how to deliver ideas that feel fresh, surprising, and built for today’s demanding audiences.”
Conover, who has been part of “Southern Charm” for ten seasons and appeared on spinoffs including “Summer House” and “Winter House,” continues to expand his career beyond Bravo. He is also featured as a guest judge on the new season of “Top Chef,” filmed in the Carolinas.
