Bozoma “Boz” Saint John is officially off the market — and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cameras were rolling for every jaw-dropping detail.
On Friday, her boyfriend, Keely Watson, dropped to one knee at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood with 35 family members and friends watching. He didn’t come empty-handed: Keely arrived with a “mega bouquet of 100 roses” and an 8.43-carat diamond engagement ring that could blind an entire Beverly Hills block.
Boz Saint John’s Proposal Was All About Shock Value
Boz admitted she was floored by the surprise. “This engagement is my testimony: you can rise from grief, reclaim your joy, and still find a love worthy of your ‘yes,’” she told People. “Keely is proof that God’s timing is perfect — and so is His plan.”
The proposal was a family affair. Keely revealed he enlisted Boz’s daughter Lael and her assistant Nico to help coordinate the event and assemble the guest list, while his nieces pitched in behind the scenes. “I really wanted that element of surprise,” Keely explained, adding that he had been planning since early summer.
The custom ring, designed with 3 Soul Diamond Jewelers in Mumbai, features a 4.2-carat center stone set in gold with additional diamonds. “The ring needed to embody her elegance, her prestige and be a display of my love for her,” Keely said. Mission accomplished.
Boz, who tragically lost her husband Peter Saint John to cancer in 2013, said she’s still “in shock and disbelief” but overjoyed at her second chance at love. And let’s be real — this is the kind of over-the-top proposal Bravo lives for.
