Filming is about three weeks underway, with Porsha, Phaedra, Drew, Shamea, Angela, and Kelli being joined by restaurateur Pinky Cole and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alum K. Michelle. Cynthia Bailey is returning as a friend, while another former LHHATL star, Tammy Rivera, will make a handful of guest appearances.

So far, the drama is simmering more than boiling. Porsha’s fallout with Shamea after the Season 16 reunion is still unresolved, with Kelli backing Shamea. Meanwhile, Angela and Drew have traded jabs with K. Michelle, who is already stirring up some conversation. The first cast trip is to Dallas, TX, hosted by K. Michelle, who is leaning into her country music side.

Behind the scenes, there’s an ongoing “pass the peach” situation between Kelli, Pinky, and K. Michelle. We’re told that Pinky has stayed out of the group drama so far, but she’s dealing with an ongoing tax situation. Producers were also eager to bring in a married entrepreneur, which made her an appealing addition to the cast.

Even if K. Michelle doesn’t end up as a full-time Housewife, she’s already benefiting from strong screen time and a favorable edit thanks to her celebrity status.

(As I previously mentioned, one of the events thus far was Kelli’s restaurant opening, which has been filmed and all of the Iadies, including Tammy and minus Porsha, attended.)
