Lisa Hochstein insists she’s not the perpetual latecomer her “Real Housewives of Miami” co-stars make her out to be — at least, not this time. After the ladies dragged her for missing their group flight to Seville, Spain, Lisa admitted she was “embarrassed” by the travel snafu but says she has receipts to back up her story.
Lisa Hochstein Explains Her Flight Fumble
On the August 13 episode of the “RHOM: After Show,” Lisa opened up about the travel nightmare that left her trailing behind her castmates. She claimed she arrived at the airport “with one minute to spare,” only to be turned away by an airline staffer she suspects “enjoyed” watching her panic.
“I’m actually very embarrassed. It gives me so much anxiety. I don’t want to be that person,” Lisa said. “I don’t walk into a room wanting to piss people off.”
According to Lisa, her boyfriend Jody Glidden witnessed the ordeal, which ended with her being forced onto a later flight and a sketchy train ride across Spain. “I had like three bags and all my jewelry in a bag. I was terrified,” she confessed.
Castmates Clash Over Lisa’s Flimsy Excuse
While Marysol Patton and Guerdy Abraira defended Lisa, Kiki Barth and Larsa Pippen weren’t buying it. Larsa pointed out that Lisa could have sent a quick update in the group text. “Crickets,” she said. Kiki called it “a lack of respect,” noting this isn’t Lisa’s first offense.
Lisa clapped back, claiming she texted Alexia Nepola directly and had “all the texts to prove it.” Marysol even admitted Lisa’s lateness is “super predictable” but gave her a pass, suggesting she was simply overwhelmed.
But as fans know, Lisa’s tardiness has been a running gag on RHOM, complete with shady Bravo montages and even her season tagline. And while Lisa might insist she’s innocent this time, viewers aren’t so quick to let her off the hook.
Lateness Is a Constant Issue for Lisa Hochstein
Of course, this isn’t the first time Lisa’s lateness has sparked drama. Earlier in season 7, she showed up nearly two hours late to an outing, leaving the entire cast stuck in a Sprinter van waiting for her. That’s when newbie Stephanie Shojaee finally called her out.
“Lisa, do you think our time is more important than all of ours? Or do you think that you’re, like, more valuable?” Stephanie asked on camera. “Are we supposed to, like, elevate your entrance? Did you think of how rude it is to make everybody wait?”
Lisa defended herself in the moment and later doubled down on social media, claiming she gave her castmates a heads-up. “I actually told everyone I was running way behind with notice and to go without me so they wouldn’t be delayed,” she tweeted. “I feel bad they chose to wait, but I did offer that clearly, and I have the messages to prove it.”
But not everyone was convinced. Fans quickly reminded her that chronic lateness has been a storyline since day one, making her “receipts” feel less like proof and more like excuses.
