Heather Dubrow is setting the record straight after Gina Kirschenheiter claimed she was the one who researched Katie Ginella’s custody situation and passed it along to Emily Simpson ahead of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” reunion. While Heather admitted she did send Emily an article about Katie, she insists she didn’t dig up the information herself — and she’s not happy with how Gina portrayed her role.
Fancy Pants Responds to Gina Kirschenheiter’s Revelation
The drama began when, on “Watch What Happens Live,” Andy Cohen asked Gina why she didn’t call out Emily for exposing Katie’s custody issues during last season’s reunion. Gina’s answer? That it was Heather who provided the information in the first place.
In a comment shared by @commentsbybravo on Instagram, Heather clapped back.
“Let’s set the record straight,” she wrote. “First of all, I do not research anyone. That is not my MO. I do not have time or interest to try to dig something up on other people.”
Heather confirmed she sent Emily an article, but said it was already making the rounds in the press.
“For the reunion last year, there were a lot of stories in the media circling about Katie, and some of us were sending them to each other because it was overwhelming and crazy,” Heather explained. “I did in fact send the article about Katie’s custody to Emily.”
Why Heather Dubrow Says It Wasn’t ‘Salacious’
Heather insisted she would “never have brought this up at the reunion” and even approached Katie privately during a commercial break to express sympathy.
“I said to her… ‘This must’ve been a very difficult time for you. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I never would’ve brought this up,’” Heather recalled, reiterating her belief that “kids and careers are off-limits.”
She questioned why Gina decided to make it sound like something more scandalous.
“Not really sure why Gina chose to include me in her response on the show or make it sound salacious,” Heather wrote.
Fans, however, weren’t entirely convinced. Many pointed out that by sending the article to Emily, Heather still played a role in what happened. One viewer summed it up bluntly: “Dubrow is a classic sniper from the side.”
