Jax Taylor is no stranger to controversy, but this time, it’s not his behavior that’s under fire—it’s his shoes. During “The Valley” reunion taping, internet sleuths noticed something odd about the former “Vanderpump Rules” star’s sneakers. The $118 “TOTO Men’s Invisible Height Increasing Elevator Shoes” promise to make their wearers 2.4 inches taller—and fans were quick to call him out.

One post on X (formerly Twitter) by @nosmokenomore shared a screenshot identifying Taylor’s shoes as the infamous lift-enhancing sneakers. It didn’t take long for the internet to erupt with commentary.

Andy Cohen and Fans Let the Jax Taylor Jokes Fly

“Wearing shoes with lifts when you’re going to be sitting down for 10 hours is objectively so funny,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Focus on being a better person, not a taller one.” A third chimed in, “So all this time he’s been angry over little man syndrome?”

Andy Cohen even got in on the roast. During “Watch What Happens Live” on July 31, Cohen quipped, “Tonight’s Jackhole goes to the revelation that Jax Taylor was wearing lifts at “The Valley” reunion, despite sitting down the entire time. Just when you think Jax can’t get any lower, you realize he actually is about 2.4 inches lower.”

This isn’t Taylor’s first time being exposed for footwear deception. Back in 2019, on “Watch What Happens Live,” Brittany Cartwright dropped a bombshell during a game of “Dirty Little SURcrets.” She revealed that Taylor wore heel inserts in his shoes—and apparently, so did Tom Sandoval.

While the lift-wearing revelation may seem petty, it comes amid a turbulent time for Taylor. Season 2 of “The Valley” saw him clash with Cartwright, enter rehab for cocaine addiction, and ultimately get served with divorce papers. Cartwright even alleged at the reunion that Taylor shoved her into the bushes during one of his rage-filled episodes.

Taylor has since stepped away from the show to focus on sobriety—but even off-camera, he can’t escape the spotlight. Especially when he’s trying to stand a little taller in it.
