“Real Housewives of Miami” star Alexia Nepola is prioritizing peace, healing, and clarity in the wake of her rollercoaster relationship with Todd Nepola. Throughout season 7, Alexia has been candid about the ups and downs of their relationship, including blindsiding divorce papers and post-breakup hookups. Now, she’s finally sharing where things stand with Todd today.
RHOM Star Alexia Nepola Has Gone No-Contact With Todd
After nearly a decade together, Alexia says her relationship with Todd has officially come to a close. The couple, who continued to see each other following their divorce filing, are no longer in communication. She shared that while they did try to reconnect, she ultimately realized she needed distance to move on.
“Currently, we are not talking. We are in no contact,” Alexia told Entertainment Tonight. “I had to choose me. I had to do what was best for me right now. I need peace and I need distance and I need clarity.”
Alexia admitted that it’s been “really hard” watching season 7 and reliving everything since filming wrapped over a year ago.
“I wish it would’ve been handled differently,” she added. “We could’ve had the conversation and sat down like two mature, loving adults…I would have supported it. Of course, you fight for it not happening, or you do interventions. But I wasn’t expecting [him to file]. I was so blindsided.”
Despite being caught off guard by Todd’s decision to end their marriage, she now views walking away as a necessary step in her healing. Still, Alexia admits she’s been trying to make sense of why Todd filed in the first place. She suspects it had more to do with his discomfort around reality TV than their actual relationship.
Speaking Out on RHOM Cast Drama
While navigating the new normal in her personal life, Nepola has been at the center of some intense drama on RHOM. This includes the controversial feud between Julia Lemigova and Guerdy Abraira. After Lemigova tossed water at Abraira during a heated moment, Nepola now says she wishes she had spoken up sooner.
“I wish I would’ve said something, I would’ve done more, I would have stood up for that because my intentions were never not to defend [Guerdy] or for her to feel like we weren’t supporting her,” Nepola reflected. “It crossed a line. Nobody should be disrespected that way. And I think because we were in such shock, we didn’t really act properly, like we should have…I feel terrible.”
In addition to that conflict, Nepola also addressed her ongoing feud with Stephanie Shojaee, who she says “continues to come for me.” She blames it on a fundamental difference in lifestyle. Nepola noted that while Shojaee enjoys glam and luxury, her day-to-day life revolves around caregiving for her son Frankie, who lives with disabilities after a tragic car accident years ago.
“As soon as I wake up, my life is different…I love a Birkin bag and I have a few of them, but this is not my whole life…I do all the other stuff she does also, “but I’m just saying, our lives are very different,” Nepola said.
Alexia Nepola Still Believes in Love
Even after three marriages and one very public split, Nepola hasn’t given up on the idea of falling in love again. While she’s uncertain about getting married a fourth time, she remains hopeful that the right relationship could still come her way.
“I love love. I’m in love with love, and maybe that’s why I’ve had three husbands,” she said. “I’m always gonna be open to the idea of falling in love.”
As for Todd, Alexia says she still cares for him and wants to see him happy. She says that she still loves him because she doesn’t know how to stop. But that doesn’t mean she’s holding out hope for a reconciliation. After giving him multiple chances and not seeing the changes she needed, Alexia made the difficult decision to move on for good.
