In fact, he doesn’t have any plans to pop the question in the immediate future. The insider revealed that Kelce wants to wait until he’s no longer actively playing in the NFL.
“He is likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore and not getting ready for a big NFL season,” the source explained.
With training underway for the Kansas City Chiefs’ upcoming season — which could possibly be Kelce’s last — the athlete is all-in on football right now. That doesn’t mean he’s not committed to Swift. But when it comes to getting down on one knee, Kelce is reportedly waiting until he has more time and mental space to plan something special.
Taylor Swift Is Happy Lying Low (For Now)
Swift is fresh off her whirlwind Eras Tour and has reportedly been enjoying a quieter summer. The same insider who dished on Kelce’s lack of proposal plans said that Swift spent the July 4th weekend enjoying a low-key celebration with Kelce, close friends, and family. This was a far cry from the iconic holiday parties she’s been known to throw at her Rhode Island mansion.
The pop star has been catching up on life, spending time with loved ones, and working on music. But, despite the recent TS12 internet rumors, even her inner circle hasn’t heard anything about a new album release.
“If she is about to drop any new music, she hasn’t told anyone, even people who are very close to her haven’t been made aware of anything new coming out,” the source told the outlet. “She has been very tight-lipped. Many close to her would be very surprised.”
Despite No Proposal Yet, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Are Going Strong
Engagement or not, it’s clear that Swift and Kelce are deeply supportive of one another. From weathering public criticism to personal milestones, the couple seems more united than ever. When Swift recently reclaimed her master recordings, Kelce was reportedly by her side every step of the way.
