What’s up Cocktailers? Hello Amanda. Hi everyone. Hi B so we have a little bit of a different but very exciting episode for you guys. So just a little bit of a different format. I guess we’ll put it that way. So we’ll catch you guys up on what’s been going on with Bravo, especially on Miami since it’s premiered, since we’ve last talked, but we were lucky enough to get an extra special guest to come chat with us, Justin Anderson, so you guys know him as he is a great social media personality. You might have met him for the first time as Kristen Cavallari, best friend I love I get so much joy out of just laughing with him at his hilarious Instagram. He’s an entrepreneur. He is an amazing colorist who is he’s partially retired. He’ll tell us about that in the interview. So unfortunately, because of graduation, season B was at a graduation during the time when he could record with us, so Tracy and I got to do the interview, and you guys definitely watch honestly, Cavalieri, it’s so good. I called it like candy when we did the interview, and Justin actually promised us that there will be some really good tea coming in the later episodes. And I also wanted to say, because we talk about the Karen Reed trial we had, we interviewed him last week. So for those of you guys who are following the trial or care about the trial, yesterday, Karen weed was found innocent on all charges, except for DUI, the most expensive DUI in history. And I know that we touched on it here, and Amanda and I didn’t know too much. And then after we touched on it, I watched the special. I forget if the special was on Netflix or max body in the snow, and I watched some of the YouTube stuff. So I did get to know the case, not as intimately. I mean, some of you guys know it very intimately. And I was so happy.
Happy. I think most people were so happy she was found innocent. I had one person DM me and say, I think she did it. And my response to that is, whenever I watch these things, there’s always back and forth, right? But to convict somebody, it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt, right? And in my opinion, it isn’t. I don’t believe she hit him, but even if you think she may have there’s still reasonable doubt. And the sad thing is that, will John O’Keefe sounds like you went out. Oh, there you are. Will John O’Keefe get justice? Because whomever did this, like as an example, she got that DUI. So are they gonna go back and give all the people, the cops and the wives DUIs that were driving, they all had their license suspended? Are we gonna go back? And, I mean, a lot of the evidence, I think, was destroyed, but are we gonna go back and look into any of this? Or does it just end with Karen Reed? I don’t know. I Yeah, that was my it is the American way, right, that you are innocent until proven guilty. And I just seeing what I’ve seen from the case. I’m the same. I’m not watching Court TV every day, but I’ve been following it really carefully. There is plenty of reasonable doubt in my mind, and it does not I don’t think she did it. I feel my heart goes out to the family who still has not seen justice for who actually did it. And I actually asked that’s, like, the hardest part, especially it is that she’s free. I’m like, that part is great, but his poor family, yeah, well, and I asked Justin actually, during the interview, which you guys will hear, I said, you know, if she’s found innocent, do you think that anybody will actually go and follow some of the leads that everyone is seeing as you know, all this other evidence that there could have been multiple other suspects in this case, right?
Well, I mean, you guys will hear a little bit more, but there’s, there’s, there’s a doubt just it. I think this case has raised so much visibility into how much corruption is there, and so I really hope that at least you know the corruption will be somebody will work through the corruption to still find who killed, who killed this man. So hearing about the corruption, and again, I don’t want to make assumptions that it’s widespread. It’s it’s really based on what locals have DM to me and said to me, right? But I do know, because I have good friends of mine that live in Boston and the surrounding areas. It’s very much like a big little town. So it’s very interesting to see how all these people are, like interweaved and all of that. Yeah, one thing I want to say, and then we’ll wrap it up, because I know you and Justin spoke about it is something that annoys me, is people are like, Oh, well, she’s not likable. Well, number one, that doesn’t matter. Nobody ever talks about if men are likable when they’re fighting for their freedom and life. But second of all, to me, what stood out to me with her disposition and how she was was that she was innocent. And the reason I say that is because she seems like a woman who is pissed about being framed for something she didn’t do. Nothing about her to me, said guilt, nothing about her to me, said trying to put on an act that she’s this sweet person. Like, I feel like, God forbid I should be accused of something I didn’t do. I would be the same way, like, yeah, I didn’t do this. This is bullshit. Look at all these people who didn’t show up to his wake, who don’t have ring camera footage, who got rid of their dog, who Googled how long to die in the snow, who sold their home, their house, yeah, sold the scene of the crime, and I’m sitting here, yeah, I don’t think I’d be likable too so and I just never went inside the house like I just there’s so many things I agree I would be pissed off too. So I feel like people saying she’s not likable to me is the thing that makes her look the most innocent because she’s pissed. A guilty person isn’t pissed. Yeah, yeah. So just my two cents. But we gotta talk Miami, if you guys are watching you’re crazy. And I said this on Instagram, you did not need to go back. Just pick it up from this season, and you’re gonna love it so much you will go back, but it’s not necessary, right? I completely agree. And you guys know, like, bravo, does not pay us. It’s just that good of a show. And I, like my husband, had never watched it. And I was like, I’ll catch you up. Like, I don’t think you don’t need to, like, I’ll tell you who everybody is, but he was able to pick it up, literally just watching the first episode. And, yeah,
yeah. So okay, I feels like everyone’s got beef and everybody’s got drama. We’re seeing rifts where we have not seen them in the past. So let’s start with Lisa and Larsa. We had posted while they were not filming that Larsa was pissed off at Lisa because Lisa and her boyfriend Jodi, had been seen multiple times hanging out with Marcus Jordan, who is.
Is Lars ex. We had gotten some insider intel about this, so we knew that this was a beef that was was brewing this season, and we sure have seen it. You know, I think generally speaking, we’ve always been team Lisa, and watching these last two episodes, it’s really becoming more clear to me that that was a result of us feeling bad for her with Lenny, because I’m not caring for her in this fight, and I’m generally not team Larsa. Yeah, you know, you know all the reasons, right, but I think Lisa is dead wrong in this situation, and I don’t like how she acted at the party and then in the Sprinter van, which we’ll get to in France. You know, she took no accountability, like she was kind of like, well, like, my boyfriend wants to hang out with him. So, like, whatever I left. First of all, that’s not even 100% true. She didn’t leave, or maybe initially she did, and then when Larsa found out about that time, she just went to full hanging out with Marcus. It seemed to me also that Lisa seemed very off, and I wouldn’t say drunk, altered by something I don’t know. But when she’s like, I love my life and every let’s celebrate everything being good. Like she seemed a little manic. Yeah, I don’t know if it was pill popping. I don’t know if it was snowing. I don’t know what it was. It was. It rubbed me the wrong way. Her entitled attitude rubbed me the other way. I completely can appreciate that Lisa cannot dictate who her boyfriend Jodi hangs out with, yes, but it was more than that. It’s the way she was so indignant about it, not unfollowing him, she was spotted again. Like, like you said more than once. Yeah, she tried to play it like, oh, I ran away from that. I They’re in the social scene. They’re gonna see Marcus. I don’t know. I believe Larsa when she says that Jodi likes Marcus, his last name. I think Lisa probably also does. They both appear to be social climbers. I don’t usually agree with Larsa. In this case, she was in a long term relationship. She showed the text where he was saying threatening things to her about her family. Larsa has stood by Lisa, especially throughout her divorce with Lenny, and she deserves better than that. I agree with you. I generally have not been a big Larsa fan, and I actually think she was kind of mean to Lisa a little bit during Lisa’s hardest times during her divorce. However, I could not agree more that, like, if Larsa and Lisa consider themselves good friends, Lisa can’t control who her boyfriend hangs out with, but she can control herself. And it does seem like Larsa is pretty much saying, like, this is a clout chasing situation, and I think it’s one thing to be civil when you all run into each other at a restaurant, but quite another to continue to go and hang out. And I would also, I kind of want to revisit a conversation we had. I don’t know we’ve had this maybe once or twice on the pod, but now we have a new lens to discuss it through when a couple breaks up and you stay friends with one of the people in the couple, do you follow? Do you unfollow the other person? And this is always dependent on the situation, of course, and how amicable it was in this situation, I would most definitely unfollow Marcus. I think if Jodi’s friends are with him at a club, because I believe Larson when she says, Jodi, you guys were not friends like your acquaintances. You know him through me, right? You know if Jodi wants to go over say hi and chat, that’s not Lisa’s problem, nor can she control it, but her sitting in a booth in a VIP section having drink service as Marcus is with a new woman. That’s not okay. I would not behave that way. We see them. So now we see them get to France. It’s like pure comedy that they’re in the same sprinter, obviously set up by production. This is not an all inclusive Cancun resort where everyone hops in the same bus. And Lars is there. Her son, Preston is walking in the Philip fine fashion show, which, by the way, Philip fine is also the ex boyfriend of Morgan from Bad Girls Club, who Lenny had a quote, unquote emotional affair with years ago. So right? Yes, they’re all very interconnected, and Lisa is walking so there they are in the same car. They promise not to get into it, and within moments, they get into it. Preston is in the front seat. Jody’s really showing his ass. I didn’t like his disposition and like how he was. He has all the skiing rumors where he said, In the first episode, you want to go in there for some AC, which people are saying means adult candy. Lisa denied it. Then he posted something that was like, kind of a denial. But also, like everybody in Miami does it, and I’m an adult, so if I was son of your business, which is true, but you know, and we’re just gonna talk about it, then that’s fine. So Larson says to Lisa, you know, you said everyone knows who you are. Like, who am I? Lisa, we’re friends for 15 years. I’m the mother to four children. I’m an entrepreneur. I’m a good friend to you. What did you mean by that? Yeah.
At that point, we all say things in anger. Everyone has done it at that point, Lisa should have said, I, you know, I had had too much to drink. I was angry in the moment. Of course, I don’t believe that. I shouldn’t have said that. Yes, I’m upset with you, but I don’t believe that she did not. She doubled down. And so then she goes, and my father’s sick, and Larson goes, right. So why are you here now? Listen, wasn’t the nicest thing to Lars to say, but in light of the fact that Lisa wasn’t willing or able to apologize for saying essentially, what did she mean by that, that she was a hoe, right? You know what? Yeah, what are you doing if I’m Larsa, right? I understand it was a low blow. But if I’m Larsa in that moment, yeah, your dad’s so sick. What I should give you grace? What are you doing here at a walk in a fashion show? Maybe you should be in Canada with your father. So I will say Lisa’s had a very difficult and no communication situation with her dad for a long time, so it could be really weird for her to go to and sit by his bedside, right? I agree. So I understand, I understood that part, and I think that, you know, obviously, that’s not what Larsa and Lisa are fighting about. And I agree that they, I think the way that Lisa threw her out of our house, I thought that was pretty awful, because she did it so publicly and yelled and just kept saying, there’s the door, there’s the door. And Larsa seemingly didn’t want to leave, like it looked like she was trying to resolve it with because it looked like she was crying in the bathroom to Kiki, yeah. And I think she was like, why is Lisa acting like this? Like she should be a PA I think Lars expectation was that Lisa would say, I’m really sorry. Listen, Jodi likes hanging out with Marcus. I will, I will make sure, I will unfollow him, and I will make sure that if he is around, I don’t hang out with him. Like, I really can’t control Jody. I’ll mention to him, like, Yeah, let’s not hang with him. But she didn’t do any of that. She just was making it worse, like, basically, Larson was upset about it, and she was like, tough shit. Yeah.

so that’s where I’m like, is she just doing this for a storyline? Or so, I think that we have forgotten how self absorbed Lisa Hochstein is, yeah, as a result of Lenny being such a piece of shit, and her having two young children and having to go through that, and then the mother in law going against her. And I think that we forgot or missed those that are newer to the series, that we’ve been very critical of, Larsa being self absorbed, which don’t mistake me she is, but birds of a feather flock together, and they are two people who really live in their own worlds. And.
In this case, at least Larsa went against Lenny and was outspoken about it and all of that. Like, yeah, very disappointed in Lisa, and I’m not liking what we’re seeing with Jodi either. Like, I don’t know. I’m just not liking the whole vibe. Somebody said to me, doesn’t Jody remind you of, oh, God, why can’t I think of it? It’s on the tip of my head, another new boyfriend. Well, I’ll think, while you’re thinking of that, I will just say too, like, none of us really like it when the boyfriends or the husbands get too involved. And I, I, yeah, I don’t really care for the way that Jodi, that Jodi, is acting, either. So okay, in happy news, we see that Marisol and Steve finally get married, because we’ve seen them do ceremonies every year, but I guess none of them were legal. So I think they’re really cute, and I understand like, I get like, I like that they that they are doing that, and that we get to see them happy, but we also see Marisol talking to Steve about how she doesn’t like Alexia. When Alexia is with Todd, that Alexia is defensive, that she’s on edge, which brings us to that split. So Alexia and Todd the announcement or the news, I guess, about him filing for divorce happened a few months before they started filming. They must have picked up cameras to just get the immediate right reaction, which we have that ended about, yeah, so then the later, you know, three months later, however, many months later, when they start filming in earnest, Alexia tells the ladies that he that Todd the night before, or right before he filed for divorce, he took her out for a dinner. Said, you know, pick wherever you want to go. They came home. Had great sex. The next day, she had to go somewhere, and then he kind of rushed her out of the house. And while she was gone, packed up everything, I guess his daughters were helping him and did all this in front of Frankie, her son, who is such a sweetheart and has he has a traumatic brain injury due to a terrible accident from when he was a child, and so he has special needs due to his disability. So can’t wait to get your thoughts on this. But one, I cannot believe that Todd did that in front of Frankie. I think that really shows for who he is. And then we’ve seen in episode two that that’s Alexia, that is the thing that she is still the most upset about, which is understandable. And then two, I think something is fishy. I don’t know that. I believe that everything went down the way that Alexia is saying that it did. Because I feel like if somebody did something that terrible to me and my child, I would follow the page to Sorbo route, and that person’s name would never come out of my mouth again. Yeah. Okay, I have whiplash too, because in the second episode, first you see her on a walk with Julia, and she’s like, well, he filed, but he hasn’t done anything, and now he has 30 days, and I hope he doesn’t do it. Then she’s at dinner with her friends, and she’s cursing him out, and she even says, We have nothing real. We have a fake apartment that we rent, a fake car that we rent. So I’m dying to know why she was staying with him after he filed. Why did she want to work this out? She’s clearly going back and forth because she had that blow up when her friend was in from Spain, when they went out to dinner, and then we know she was with him up until a couple of weeks ago. In real time, we had heard the divorce was largely financial, but clearly there’s more to it than that. I don’t believe this was a made up storyline that doesn’t make any sense to me. I agree. I don’t think she would throw the Frankie into the narrative. I just that’s not a thing. She is not an Oscar award winning actress that could even pull that off. I never understood the Todd of it all. It makes sense if it’s financial. But then at dinner, she was saying that everything’s fake. But does Todd some way allow her to have a lifestyle she couldn’t otherwise afford, even if his money is a little scammy or not on the up and up or whatever, is she able to buy the fancy stuff? And is that why she sticks around? I don’t know. I do know that in real time, on watch. What Happens Live, she said she wasn’t with him. A source told me that as she’s watching these episodes back, she is like, I’m done with him, but in all honesty, she said this before, I mean, in the same episode, seemingly filmed within the same week. So I just think she’s in a toxic situation. This is her third marriage. Maybe she’s tired, maybe she doesn’t want to look for someone else, and she doesn’t want to be alone. So my theory, and I listened to her podcast with myself after the breakup, and I mean, she was sobbing on the show, and this is, I don’t know, five a week later after, you know, so she’s, it’s not completely raw. And.
And she was legitimately very upset. And so I think there was something that was coming bad that was coming down the pipe for Todd, and that’s why he made that you’ll be happy about this decision comment. I think she actually really loves him, and I think that he probably was one of those people who was really good at making himself seem rich, and then once they get married, she finds out that he’s not. And so I think I don’t know that he’s probably even able to help her. I think that she is just so in love. And they kept calling him a narcissist. And if he is truly a narcissist, then what she is feeling might not be might think she might feel like it’s love, but it’s a bad kind of attachment. It could be that, because it doesn’t seem to me like I agree with you, that everything the way that she said, it does seem like it happened, and then I don’t, but I don’t think that there’s enough money there to keep her there even when he’s done terrible things to her. I think that that’s all true. I think that there may be enough money for her to think he had money, right? Listen, what I will say is, it looks like every episode is gonna be crazy. Yeah. I mean, we have the Gertie and the Julia beef, which to me, is sort of silly. I really feel that Julia is reaching for a storyline. Here, she came out and said that the boys were not fully adopted, which is the reason she didn’t wanna show them. So while she can talk about them, that’s not a storyline. So in my opinion, she fabricated this beef with Gertie. We do know that she ends up falling out with Adriana and does get a real storyline. I kind of feel bad for Gertie at this moment, because she’s not really without Dr Nicole there, who, by the way, his absence is very much missed for me, yeah, and you could see that Stephanie is not yet filming from unsolved mysteries to unexplained phenomena, from comedy goal to relationship fails. I do think that Gertie ends up probably first not wanting to be super tight with Stephanie, but probably warming up to her, because she really, you know, if she doesn’t have Julia, she’s not really that tight with the other women. So there is a scene with where Dr Nicole and her have lunch, which we had told you guys that Dr Nicole does film a little bit, not with the group, just with Gertie. And I think that clip where Nicole goes, well, we must have some stuff in common, because the same man liked us both. I think that’s Gertie saying to her, like, I hope you’re not like, mad at me, but I actually kind of like Stephanie. And I think Nicole was like, it’s fine. Obviously, she’s a cool girl. Anthony liked her, yeah? Which is like, that’s a, that’s a kind of conversation. But like, I feel the same way, like I know, like, this is a totally random story, but there was this girl that liked my husband before we were together. And I remember a friend was like, first of all, like, she’s married and whatever. And her friend was like, you like, so and so, so much. And I’m like, and my husband, my turn, I’m like, Yeah, because I actually like her a lot. She’s somebody I would be friends with. She’s very cool. And I was like, and that makes sense. Like, my I should believe that my husband has good taste in women, right? Like, why wouldn’t I think, right, right? Like, so, like, I understand the natural animosity that somebody would have initially, but it makes total sense that if Nicole were to film with Stephanie, she’d probably like her. They probably have similar ways and values and all of those things. Because, right, yeah. I mean, I completely agree with you. Without going into too much detail, I have been in a similar situation. I’ll.
To say it. I met my ex husband’s girlfriend at the time, and she was lovely. And because I’m like, she’s gonna be around my kid, I have no reason to dislike her unless she gives me a reason. And she was absolutely lovely. I don’t know. I think it’s I don’t. I don’t really quite understand it when people get so, so weird, I could see if, if Stephanie was rude or awful right to Nicole or anybody, but if she’s not, then why does that make us need to assume that we aren’t gonna like her either, just because we like Nicole, and I think it kind of gives us hope that Nicole would come back, because Stephanie’s also married, I think it would be totally different. I hate to say it, but like, if the girl was single, but like, if the girl’s married and happy in her new relationship, and you guys are married and happy with your kids in your new relationship, then why can’t we all be friends? I’m like, yes, so I want to tell you the truth about everything that’s happening with this situation. So we’ve been friends for a long Oh my gosh. I just love it. So guys, you know, like, sometimes we’ll say and we have information from a source this, Justin, may or may not have been one of our sources on some of our tea on, I am the source. I talk way too much. It’s like a problem. But I’ll never say be that I don’t know the actual truth about, like, it’s so funny right now because of the New Show, I’m honestly kept Cavalier like a lot. Whenever you do like a show like that, a lot of people want to talk on podcasts and stuff. And I get nervous because, like, I say two bus so I’m like, I can’t really do other people’s podcasts because I like, get myself in trouble all the time. This is a safe space, like the first of safe from a safe space. But I’m like, I want to do it. I love Bravo, yeah. Oh my gosh. Well, we have to return the compliment, because we been watching honestly. Cavalera is it? I struggle? Cavalari. Cavalari, I hear both. It’s Cavalier. People always like, want to make it more like, different than it actually is. Just straight up Cavalier, the layer Kristen, Cavalier. Yeah, I have to say, congrats on the show. It’s, it’s so good. You said candy, because when we first saw the first two episodes, when a show like that happens, you have no idea, obviously, how they’re going to edit and put it together. And Kristen really agreed to do this show because it was, like a very she was, like, I want this to be so real, like, I want it to feel like you’re just, like, following, like, a half an hour of whatever, like nothing is like a scripted whatever.
Yeah, so we were, like, really nervous when we first saw the two episodes, and I watched it with my husband and my sister, who’s one of my best friends, and both of them said that they’re like, oh my god, this is the kind of show that you want more of. And I think it’s because, like, so much happens in a half an hour, and it all feels just really fun, and it’s like, playful that I’m really excited about the show, and I feel like reality TV has kind of been missing that for a little while, you know, like, just that real, like spontaneous, real friendships, real fun. So thank you for saying that I feel the same way. Yes, oh my god, it’s so good. Listen, I lived for you outing the hook up between Kristen and Glenn Powell. Like the image of them dry humping is, like, that’s what I needed to get me through my life right now. So question is, did you say it and have like, an oh shit moment? Or were you like, I know my best friend, she’s not gonna be that mad at the end of the day. Well, it is one of those things, like, what I was just saying about, like, I don’t hold back. And I really come from that place of, if something happened, who cares? We’re all adults, like, whatever. So Kristen was like, oh shit. And her publicist, Jack was there, and he, like, wouldn’t even look at me when I walk backstage. But it was one of those things where in my mind, like, let’s say it was something terrible that I didn’t want people to know. Like, I wouldn’t say it because I’m, like, obsessed with Kristen. I would jump in front of a bus for Kristen. So for me, I’m like, she hooked up with Glen Powell. Is that a bad thing? Like, he’s hot. It was fun. They’re two adults. What’s the big deal? Or whatever. But yeah, like, maybe the dry humping wasn’t, like, the best words to use. Like, even today, somebody on Instagram just sent me, like, a media clipping that said, like, Kristen Cavallari says she dry humped Glen Powell. Like, that’s what they write in the article. I’m like, That’s so embarrassing, and that’s all me. So, yeah, there’s a lot of stuff like that. I mean, there’s just, like this show too, as it goes on, like stuff comes out that, like, I’m actually a little bit nervous about, so we’ll see. Well, I think I personally find that dry humping is a lost art. So I’m, I grew up like Mormon. I was like, a full on Mormon growing up. So we, like, talked about dry humping all the time. And I didn’t realize how stupid of a phrase that is, but it’s like, yeah, when you don’t go all the way, you just you’re dry humping, right? Yeah, exactly. Totally. It’s so good. It’s so good. Oh my gosh. Okay, you want to know. Here’s something. This is like me talking for real. Okay, remember how I used to talk non stop about Bravo, because I love Bravo. I watch it and I will just talk about anything, right? Well, it started turning into this thing where it’s like, and I know that you guys feel this all the time. It’s like, the way people talk about Bravo sometimes gets so dark and ugly. Where I always come from a place of, like, it’s entertainment. I just want to, like, kind of have fun with talking about Bravo and like, people get so passionate about so I kind of stopped talking about Bravo completely because I just couldn’t handle, like, the DMS. Like, even if I would say, like, Oh, I love Lisa Rinna, people would be like, I can’t believe you like her. You must be an evil person. She’s disgusting. I’m like, you guys, calm down. A lot of this is them acting like a character on TV. And a lot of these people, like, I have met, I knew Lisa Rinna forever before the housewives or whatever. When I know a lot of these people. So like, even when I say I love someone, it’s like, because I know them in person and I know that the way they’re acting on TV is different. So most all of them that I’ve ever met, I really liked them in person. They’re great people that are, oh, my God, I’m trying to skirt around the question I fucking jet aid Jen Aiden’s a fucking night, and, like, yeah, we have like, this weird online beef or whatever that happened, because whatever it was, like, this weird long story, and she tried to call me out, and I was, like, so confused by it. Anyways, I just don’t like her. But beyond that, it’s like, it’s usually like, when people are I don’t like when there’s, like, a boring housewife. And by boring, I mean, like, you can just kind of tell they’re checked out. They’re not really like engaging with the cast. But beyond that, like, there’s not a lot of them that, like, I hate, I think a lot of them bring something to the table. And lately I can’t stand that. I feel like so many people are so aware of what they’re gonna look like on camera that we’re not seeing who they really are. And I feel like that’s an issue with housewives. So like, when we I like the housewives that just put everything out there, like Miami is fucking insane. It’s so good, so much fun. From episode one all the way till the end, it’s just like you feel all these women being exactly who they are. Yeah? So who do I not like?
I agree. I gotta. I think most of at least our cocktail folks feel the same way about Jen Hayden. She just has, like, a nasty edge to her, but, and the thing is, too, like, I actually always was kind of like, she’s fun at the beginning. And so what essentially happened is I met her at Bravo con years ago, and I was so nice to her, because I don’t have beef with her. So I was so nice to her, whatever. And then after something weird happened, and I called out something weird that I’d heard, that she did, like all of us talk about, oh, did you hear that? So and so did this. And then she messaged me, like, why were you so nice to me if you were to talk shit? And I’m like, first of all, what did you want me to do when I met you? Just be rude to you, because I think you and I have nothing whatever. So I think that just recently, that whole thing that came out with her at the sandwich shop or whatever, and the way she was talking to the people, like, you know, that whole thing that happened, yeah, yeah. And everyone, it’s like, that’s exactly who she is. She’s not a nice person. She thinks people are beneath her. And so a lot of times you don’t have to say anything, like, the truth ends up coming out. We see people.
People’s true colors, and I think she’s a fucking asshole for like, talking to somebody at their workplace like that, and I saw it firsthand too. Whatever do you have any any all time favorite host runs all time favorites. It’s so funny, because when I say who My favorites are, they’re kind of like con not controversial, but they’re the ones that get get everyone fired up. And it’s because I really like, like, big, fun personalities to watch. And I’ll always say these things, like, sometimes I’ll say, Oh, I love so and so like, because I think they’re fun to watch on TV. And people are like, I can’t believe that you would like them. And I’m like, Are you guys forgetting that? Bravo is for our entertainment. It doesn’t mean that I want to live my life like this person or like, I agree with every take that they have, but I like really exciting big personalities like Bethany Frankel, forever will be one of my favorite housewives. I just think she was, no matter what, she was fun to watch. Do I disagree with her sometimes? Maybe actually I don’t disagree with her very often. I really think that we’re very similar personality. So I like Bethany Frankel a lot. I love lucirena. I thought Lisa Rinna was fabulous TV. I love this. Everyone gets so mad about this. I love Ramona. Singer, like, I love watching Ramona. I think that, like watching somebody who’s that fucking delusional on TV is so much fun. And I know there was, like, this whole thing where people, because people bring like politics into it, they’re like, You can’t give someone like that a platform. And I actually completely disagree with that, because I think the point of reality TV is to see parts of life, good and bad that we like or we don’t like, and that’s the reality of the world. So when people say, like, Oh, I heard that Ramona is conservative or whatever they were mad at her about, or she might be racist or whatever, I’m like, ramonas exist out there, and if anything, we should be watching and see like, Oh, that’s a perfect example of a person that we don’t want to be like, we can’t act whatever. Am I making sense? Yes, as a group said I like, I love that outlook. Like, I always go back to like, Stasi Schroeder and how they didn’t put her back on. Bravo. But I was like, Don’t you want people to see her take the steps to make embeds for what like, isn’t that the point? Yeah, like learn. We need to learn. We need to see so I do not believe in that like cancel culture at all, especially in a world like Bravo or reality TV. I want to see people mess up. I want to see them mess up over and over. And I want to see how people around them react on the show, because that’s how we actually learn. So a lot of times the people that I liked are like, those, those personalities that kind of get people fired up a bit. Wait, like, who else is? Like, another one that, like, I love, oh my gosh, mine are all really bad, because I really loved Candace on Potomac, and I’m so bummed that she’s gone. So I really do like the hooks that cause a lot of waves. Maybe I am a fucked up person, or No, I like watching it because it’s so different from my reality that, like, it’s really exciting to see these people. Well, she is, I think she is, I think top 10 in terms of reads, any How’s wife, like, you put her against anybody and like, I’m probably choosing, choosing Candace. So I don’t know if you’ve heard this, but we just shared, we shared the that we were hearing. This was happening a few weeks ago, but Monique Samuels is coming back to Potomac. Wait, do you want to know that? Like I was so upset when she left, because I Potomac was my favorite this last season was really boring. Unfortunately, I think they’ll come back, but Potomac has always been one of my favorites, and I loved Monique so much. I loved the big thing that happened between Monique and Candace. As fucked up and crazy as it was, it was just like Wild TV or whatever. So I was so bummed when she was leaving, but I really like her. Do people not like her? I think she’s definitely polarizing, too. And I think the whole her versus Candace thing was one of those, one of those times, and I feel like she got put on pause as she, you know, yeah, because there was that violent and she should have, yeah, I’m excited. I always really liked her. And I think what I find really interesting about her is that there had been rumors at the time when she was on the show about cheating. It was even, I think Gizelle even brought it up on camera, and, you know, now she’s single, and so it should be interesting just to see, to see what she brings to us. Oh, life looks. Oh my gosh. I didn’t even realize that that she’s single now I wasn’t following like her life after the show. Oh, what a Palmer. I love them together. But yeah, there was, yeah, there was stuff about like her, with her trainer, right? Yeah, with her trainer, exactly. Yes, so did you? Did you work with Rachel Zoe? At any point, I didn’t work with Rachel Zoe. You know, it’s funny, because, like, the hairdressers, hair colors, makeup artist, stylists, yeah, we’re all kind of connected, and we all know each other. We’re all constantly talking. But Rachel Zoe had kind of been out of the styling world when I was really doing a ton of hair, and she was kind of working more on her brand and stuff. So no, we never shared any clients. We weren’t friends. Jeremiah Brent was a really good friend of mine, and he used to work for her for a minute. I think he was on her show for a minute. He’s the guy that’s married to Nate Berkus now. Oh yeah, he was one of my really good friends. So we have people in common, but I was never friends with her, but I’m so excited for her to be on Beverly Hills. Yes, I am. She’s gonna be great. I think she’s gonna be I hate that that cast. It’s such a bummer, because Beverly Hills is, like, one of my favorites of all time. Like, I will never miss an episode of Beverly Hills, and I couldn’t even watch it this past year, like I was so fucking bored. And I think that it just gets that thing where it’s like, you put too many personalities that aren’t connecting at all together. And it’s like, What are we watching? I can’t get past the point where I’m like, these people would never choose to actually hang out with each other. Like, you could tell they’re all being forced to film together. So I’m excited for Beverly Hills to get back to some sort of, at least bring in really big personalities, you know, like, I think Rachel will challenge a lot of those women, because Rachel has a lot going on herself, and I think in situations like that’s intimidated to a big group of women. So I think she’s gonna bring out some spice out of the other women. I love it. I just want her to say, I die, like, over of like, waiting for that I am. There’s a thing about a little bit though, I’m kind of nervous, because I think that Rachel, even when she did her own show, she was very good at, like, being the Rachel show and her little one liners or whatever. I’m really curious to see how she does with a cast. Though it’s like she could either get really quiet and weird, like, remember the vedale sessions daughter that was on the season one time. Like, what is she like? Rachel could either be kind of like that, or she could come in and kind of dominate the cast, like, I’m so curious to see which direction it goes. I am too. Do you have any favorite moments from the show that you’re doing now with Kristen that you think we won’t get to see? It’s so crazy. Okay, so this show was because it was filmed so fast. We had cameras there all the time, like, even, like when we did very cavalry that was like, you kind of have times where you’d film like, Oh, we’re gonna send a crew to the house Tuesday from five to nine, or you’re gonna meet at this restaurant, whatever this one that we’re do that’s airing right now. They were filming the minute we got up, till we went to bed at night. So like, on the airplane, walking the airport and walking to get coffee, and they got so much stuff in there, and even, like, the producers kept saying to us, they’re like, I don’t know how they’re gonna edit this down, because so much was happening. So I still don’t even know what the next few episodes look like and what they’re putting in and taking out, but we got so much fun stuff, and they’re like, it was, like, it was non stop. And I think that is the trick to doing reality TV, is like, you can’t do this thing where it’s so like, scripted the time.
Timing show up here. We’re gonna film this thing. Like somehow reality TV needs to go back to just putting cameras in people’s face non stop, because after you get all the fun stuff. So there’s so many fun things that happen on it that I don’t know what they’re gonna end up kick cutting out. I will be honest and say that. So Kristen and I have been best friends forever, and we talk all day long. Like, right before I got on this I was on the phone with Kristen, like we’re talking non stop, she’s really, like, that friend to me. And we do not fight because we have such a similar personality, like we really understand each other, so we’re really good at just like, weaving life together, right? Well, on this show, because there was cameras happening, we got in two of our like, I’d say, biggest fights, and it’s because of the stress of the cameras and so much happening, and we were so tired, so I’m really nervous to see how much they show of this fight and what I look to be on. I saw in the preview a little bit from last night for next week, and it’s something like and we’ve talked about it completely after and I was, I’m such a little bitch. I’m a little I’m a crier, like, I cry a lot, but I’ll never let people see it. But like, even after that fight, like, I was like, sobbing, because it’s like, what happens is you get to a point where you’re so physically exhausted that you don’t even know what you’re talking about anymore. And that’s kind of what this fight was like, we were talking about two different things and kind of going in circles that at the time, I didn’t even realize what was happening and then, so I’m actually curious to see if they do put any of it in the show, I’ll probably learn a little bit about myself, like, what the fuck I was actually talking about, talking reality TV. Would you ever be open to having your own show with scoot? Okay, so I don’t think so, to be honest. Like, scoot is so private, and I do think that there has to be this element of, like, you guys, it would be a shit show, like I would probably, I would embarrass the crap out of myself. So I’m so protective of my relationship with scoot, and we really do have such a sweet, playful relationship that I don’t know how fun that would be for cameras. You know, just about me and scoot in our house, and we have, like, a fun, big life and stuff. But I think people want more drama than that, but I would love, oh, my God. It’s like, I love a show, like, I would love if it was a show that could be happy, like, I have a really happy family. We go to Nantucket every summer, and like, my sister is my best friend. I’m really close with her husband, my nieces. If there was a show that could be like, happy and showing, like, a good time in life, like the Chris lees, like, I could do that, but I wouldn’t do the drama stuff with my family, just because I feel like you’d be forced to want to fight with your close people, even if you didn’t want to, because it’s like, oh, we’re filming a show. We need to give them something. So no, I would be good on, like, I mean, I missed my calling. I would have been good on, like, a summer house or, like, Southern charm, you know, because, like, if you put me in a situation where, like, people threaten me, yeah, I’ll fucking fight back like Christy, and I talk about that all the time. If we were on a show together, how good we would be. But with my own people in my life, I don’t think I would give them enough drama that makes sense. Yeah, and that makes me really, really happy for you. You know, I think I agree. I think that’s it’s a shame that people find just happy, no drama to be boring. Yeah, they do. And I’m very aware of that, you know. But like, I’m one of those people, like, I would love, I loved having, like, the Chris lose on in the background, just because it made me feel like wholesome. It felt like a hallmark show. And I really liked that. That’s like, I mean, I wish everything could be like, Christmas, year round. So that’s kind of the world that I live in. I don’t like put on this positive thing on Instagram. I really like to live in positive, fun spaces, but I don’t, I don’t know if that makes for good reality TV all the time. Yeah, I love that, though. So besides, like the Chris Lees and house wise, what other reality shows are you loving right now? What other reality shows I mean, bravo, takes up so much of my time, because I really do watch a lot of other TV, like, I watch a lot of, like, shows and movies and stuff, so Bravo. Pretty much takes up all of it. I wasn’t able to get into the Mormon wives, just because I think that, like, I grew up Mormon, and that’s such a weird, sensationalized part of Mormonism that I never saw. So those I just it felt like very scripted to me. But I heard that this season gets really fun. So I actually want to get into the Mormon show. It’s so good. I know everyone says that to me, and I feel like that’s just also what reality TV is. Sometimes, like, you have to get over the hump of, like, the first season, because the first season’s awkward on a lot of shows, because it’s people getting to know each other, get used to the cameras. So I think I need to get over the hump. I’m gonna get into that show. I’m gonna start watching it for sure. I’m gonna make a confession about Mormon housewives, Secret Lives of Mormon wives. I watch with the remote in my hand, and we’ll fast forward, just because I feel like there’s, it’s one of those show. It’s like a TLC show, you know, where it’s a lot of recap and like, here’s what just happened, and here’s what’s going to happen. And so once I figured that out and just started fast forwarding through a lot of the recap stuff, then it felt like it moved faster, faster for me. And I really enjoyed it, and it is really good, and I’m fascinated the cocktails know by religion in general, that Mormonism, I think, is.
That’s just so interesting to me. And so seeing, seeing that side, and seeing, for example, Jen Affleck in the first season, where they have a baby blessing, but in the baby blessing, only the men are priesthood holders, and so the men are doing all that. And so then she’s just sitting there awkwardly, watching while they’re doing this very important religious ceremony over her baby. You know, there’s all these just really interesting little things that you pick up watching the show. And it makes you really not understand necessarily, but it makes you it opens your eyes to like, the sexism that is in that we, at least in those relationships, that we see, and some of the just kind of just the smaller details that kind of make some of these women who they are. Yeah, I mean, you just nailed it all around the head. And I like, have to be honest, like, since I did grow up in that world. There were so many things that I just thought were normal that I haven’t been I wasn’t the Mormon church like before I got out of high school, my parents pull this out. But it wasn’t things that I didn’t realize till later in life. And you’re exactly right. There’s so many things where you’re like, What the fuck, how is that normal? How do we just think that was normal? So yeah, it’s really it’s I see why the Mormon religion is so interesting to people. And it’s the Mormon religion just in general, is interesting because, like, everyone’s weirdly, really pretty. There’s a lot of Mormon I mean, money for whatever reason, like Mormons are just interesting people. Yeah, so I get it, yeah, I guess Yeah. I lived it. So I know you’ve been watching the Karen weed trial. My question for you, because it’s starting to wrap up. It’s nuts just seeing the corruption. You know, the cop who disposed of his phone and his SIM card denying making phone calls that are on record, selling the house that was the scene of the crime, from the cops to maybe even the judge, the corruption is is, I think, you know, everyone watching the case seems to be agreeing with that statement, because that’s what all the comments are saying that I see on social media. My question for you is two parts. Do you think the jurors will see this and if Karen is found innocent? Do you think anyone will actually look into who actually did it? I mean, those are, like, the two biggest questions that we all have, because you don’t know what the jurors are thinking, because we have to remember that we’re going online and we’re reading things, we’re watching videos that are explaining things more, and the jurors are really just seeing what they’re allowed to say in court. And there’s so much that this shady ass dirty judge is trying to hide from the jurors, so they’re not getting that information. But, and I really think about that, because I told you guys, before we got on this that I watch every minute of this case, like I have a notebook, I take notes, I watch every minute on YouTube all the way through. And I really think about, like, if I was a juror and I was listening to this, would I be able to piece together all the corruption that’s happening here, and I do think that they can, because there’s so many holes in the story. And when they start to mention certain things, and the prosecution is objecting, the jurors have to sit there and be like, wait a second, what are they trying to hide from us? You know? Why are they trying to hide the fact that there was X rays taken, that nobody’s showing us the x rays, that nothing was broken on his body. Why don’t they want us to hear about this dog that the dog missing, and the man, John O’Keefe, had dog marked on his arm. But there’s so many things that I think that they’re like, yes, there’s some Katie, Katie here happening. And if she is found innocent, I think she’s such a badass. Karen Reed and I have become in contact with some of her friends that I talk about on social media so much. And like, what I know about this woman is, I think that she will write a book, do a show or something, make a shitload of money, and I think she will go after these people. Personally, I hope that somehow she can do that. But yeah, I think people are going to go after these people who’ve done all this corruption, and I think that’s also what gets so many of us, like, fired up, is we want to see this corruption go down, because there’s so much of it that’s happening, and none of this would be taken care of if we were all fired up online. And I think that’s the beauty of like, online sleuths and all this stuff. Like, we are actually making changes. Now we’re like, we’re demanding the truth to come out, because had so many of us not been talking about this, Karen would have been locked up, like they tried to get her to give, to give a plea deal before any of this happened. And so it’s like, shady stuff like that happens every single day. So I hope she takes all those fuckers down, like all of them, they’re all so disgusting. Oh my god, I love it. Sounds like you could write a book with I could write it. But the other thing is, is, like, if you don’t watch the trial, like, really pay attention to it, I get where people be like, No, it sounds like maybe she did hit him with her car or whatever, especially if you just listen to what they say on the news and the media and stuff. But I don’t think there’s anyone who, if you really pay.
A chance to the trial. I don’t think there’s anyone who could, like, confidently say she’s guilty. There’s just no way. Like, that’s how badly, that’s how corrupt this case is totally Well, truth is coming to the light in so many areas. You know, it’s like everyone’s realized that Blake Lively is an absolute asshole, and she’s trying to ruin a man’s life. I mean, she’s a monster of a person. She’s like, really a terrible person. And I, you know, coming from that Hollywood world, like I was around so many people, and I really got to know so many people, and Hollywood’s very small, like, you hear things over and over, and I was always really aware of, like, which people were talked about a lot as just being nightmares or whatever. And it always comes to the light, like I could sit here and just name the people off who have just been, like, plucked off that I heard over and over from very small groups of people. And Blake Lively was always one of those people. I always, I never directly worked with her, but I was friends with, like, makeup artists and stylists and all this kind of stuff. And one time I remember Blake Lively had like, really bad hair color. So I was like, Oh, should I fix her hair color to one of someone on her team, wherever. And they were like, Justin, I would never put Blake on you. Even someone who was working with her at the time was like, You’re way too nice to work with somebody like Blake Lively, like she’s a nightmare ever. And that was everybody’s story about her. So then when something like this comes out, I’m like, Yeah, of course. I heard about that for for so long that it makes complete sense. So I like that we’re living in a time where, like, the truth comes out about people like you can’t fake it anymore. If you’re not a good person and you’re trying to be public, people are gonna find out like you can’t hide that shit anymore. Totally question. Taking a little turn here, how would a non celeb like myself get their hair colored by you? And would I need to re mortgage my home? Because I totally would. So I’m like, I’m done with doing hair now. I have, I’ve been out of the salon for six years now, and I was charging a shitload of money for hair when I was doing it. And to be honest, like that was kind of hard for me too, because I was like, I felt bad like charging that much, so I was really expensive. But what it came down to is, like, since I was doing so many big names, my schedule got tighter and tighter to where I had a longer and longer wait list and whatever. So like, you naturally have to start raising your prices because you’re so busy. And by the time I stopped doing hair, it was just out of control. Like I was doing like 25 to 30 clients a day, and I was charging a lot of money, and I got so completely burnt out, because I’m one of those people that if I’m doing something, I’m going to put everything into it and do it the best that I can. And I was, like, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, so I stopped doing hair years ago, but I would love to do it now. If I would just, if you get me a sink in your kitchen, I could actually color your hair. You’re invited next time you come to New York, or if you’re going to bravocon, I’ll be there. I miss doing hair so much, not because of, like, the big celebrities that I did, but I missed, like, the conversations. I loved being in the chair. Obviously, I like to talk, so I loved being in the chair and chatting a lot. And the thing that I really liked about all of my celeb because I worked with, like, some of the anybody I ever dreamed of working with, somehow ended up in my chair at some point. So I met the most incredible people, and I really liked all of them, because I feel like in order to get to the top in any industry, you have to somehow be, you have to kind of be an interesting person. So it was so fun to me, for me to be in the chair doing hair with, like, really interesting person after interesting person. And like, I miss that. I have a lot of fun doing that part of it. I felt like I met really cool people. I love that so much. So what? Sorry, what does your work what does your work life look like these days? I mean, we we see your content. We see you on the show, like, what? What keeps you busy? People, always, I think people really wonder that, because, and I’ll be very honest, I do live a big life, and I think that it’s kind of confusing because I don’t work anymore. I don’t have, like, a nine to five. I’ll be very honest here right now, I was very smart from a really young age about money. I saved a lot of money. I got into real estate. I bought my first Oh, my God, I’m gonna say too much right now. I bought my first piece of property when I was, like, 21 years old in West Hollywood, and it was really expensive at the time. And then basically what I did was, every two years I would buy a new piece of property, rent out the old one, have the new one or the old one, kind of pay for the mortgage on the next one. And I kept rolling that that by the time I retired, my biggest money maker was real estate, doing real estate over the years. You know, 20 years of doing that, and then I did make a lot of money doing hair a lot, because I charged a lot. I had two businesses that I sold my portion of the business, and, no, that was like my biggest money maker. I’ve always been really good with money. So right now, I’m at a place in my life where I wouldn’t say that I’m retired, because there’s so many other things I want to do in life, but I’m a little bit burnt out, and I want to figure out what I want to do that makes me happy, seems fun, and I’m not on like a money chasing journey right now, which is a great place to be. So if anyone’s listening, they’re young when Pete, when adults tell you to pay attention to your money and save it, try as hard as you can to do it. I know we’re in a.
And hard time right now, and everything feels expensive, and the thought of saving money seems ridiculous to anyone, but the earlier you start, the better off you are. And I read a book when I was really young called Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and that completely changed my life. So if you’re a parent and you have a kid who’s about to go to college, make them read that book, because my parents made me read it at a young age, and I swear that changed my whole life, Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It’ll teach you how to be rich by the time you’re 45 I’ve read it too, and I have you read it. I have read it, yeah, a life changer like it. I read it at such a young age, and it changed my life. I lived by that for so many years, and you just have to start young. So, yeah, long story for right now. I’m just kind of enjoying life, and I want to figure out what I want to do next. I want to do only things that make me happy and smile. Right now. Me too.
Dick off for so many years, though, and I was so stressed and like, running all over the place that so yeah, right now I’m kind of, like, enjoying where I’m at your face to be. Yeah. I love that for you. Can you share, like, any past stories of like, the craziest thing that’s ever happened to you at a celebrity appointment, at a celebrity appointment, yes, and I always get in trouble for this, because big name celebrities, they somehow travel, and that follows me forever when I tell stories online. But yes, I have some crazy ass stories, and I don’t know I would want to, like, almost write a book, just for the fun of it, because people would have so much fun with the stories, but not to expose celebrities. I don’t like exposing celebrities because I feel like that makes would make me as a person look like shitty and people couldn’t trust me. But I want these stories to be known because, yeah, I saw the craziest shit ever. Because, like, for my biggest celebrities, I would go into their home because, like, if they were so famous that they couldn’t come into the salon that I was at at the time, or at the end of my career, I had a space where I would do all of my clients. It was completely private. Was just mine, but people would still have to see each other there. So if I was doing an A list big celebrity, I would go to their home. So it was as private as possible. And the shit that I would see was in was crazy. I mean, one really big client. I met her for the first time, and her assistant brought me into her bathroom and she was butt naked and do her hair while she was butt naked, and she was kind of out of it, on pills, and it was like, really awkward right away. So there were situations like that. There was some people who were obviously really mean, but I was really I’m very big on boundaries, and I’m very protective of the people around me, like, if you’re my friend or my assistants, I was really protecting them. And there were a lot of people who were really mean to my assistants. And so I, like, I got in fights with people like, and I never would go back to do their hair. People knew they were like, oh, Justin, will fire you in a second. I would, I didn’t care how famous people were. If they were mean to my assistants, I would fire them. Never go back to them. And it was like a funny thing that people would joke about in our industry. So yeah, I’ve seen some crazy ass shit. And, yeah, some crazy ass shit. Why? Kind of back to the this all tracks for me, because I personally have a theory that people who are rude to waiters, people behind a hotel desk, whatever, people’s assistance like those are not good people. That is always that is how I always feel. And so that tracks for me, that you would be very protective of the people who work for you, and immediately cut off anybody who would act like that. It’s a real thing. I mean, that’s literally I also, because I did hair for so many years and I saw so many people, I really feel like I have a good gage on people. Just talking to people for a few minutes, I can kind of pick up on things, like I can read people really easily just because of how many people I was around. But yes, I agree, like it all comes down to how they treat the people who can’t do anything for them, and that pisses me off more than anything. So like, when we would go to a celebrity’s house and I would take one or two assistants with me, when we would leave, I’d immediately say, like, how were they with you? Because, like, if I would leave the room and they were dealing with my assistant, or if my assistant was, like, washing out their hair and I wasn’t right there, and I would listen to my my assistants, because that says so much about how they they treat people like that. And I that’s another thing that comes down to like, the truth comes out all the time. Now, I really was around someone like Jennifer Aniston, the nicest person in the world. Nobody could ever say anything bad about Jennifer Aniston. She is so kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are. Miley Cyrus, the same thing. Miley Cyrus could be on any set or walk into any room, and she will remember everyone’s name. She will make eye contact, speak with people. Reese Witherspoon, one of the greatest people in the world, you know. And these are a lot of people that I still consider my friends and I still speak to because they’re such good people. But trust me, there’s a lot of people who have never mentioned their names, that I’ve worked with and been around quite a bit, that are just fucking assholes, and it’s like, but I know it’ll come out. I don’t need to say it. It doesn’t need to be me who says it. And it keeps coming out. You know, why did Ellen jennis Move away? I knew she was gonna have to move away. I knew that whole thing before. It’s so funny, because when Amber Heard came out with her thing, of course, when a woman says that anything bad happens to her, you listen, right?
Way, right? But I remember when all that stuff first came out, and I was like, oh, no, the truth will come out. Amber is insane. So the truth comes out. You know, we hear about celebrities who say, like, you can’t look them in the eye, like their assistants will tell people ahead of time. Like, did you ever have that experience where somebody asked that you do their hair, but then you were told you couldn’t look them in the eye. I would not walk into someone’s home if they said anything about eye contact. That’s like a fucking psycho person. So like, if somebody said that to me, like, Justin, will you do so and so’s hair, but you can’t look at her, I would laugh so hard and be like, yeah, right, I would. I wouldn’t do that for a million dollars. But no, there are stories about that, and there’s one big celebrity that I can think of in particular that, yes, it was said a lot, and it was very true that she would say that, but I never actually worked with her. But so no, I couldn’t do that. Sorry. My husband just walked in room, and I completely lost my train of thought, and I was just about to say something really good, though. Oh, god, yeah, that definitely happens. But no, I wouldn’t work with somebody like that at all. Oh, but like, another thing is, like, for some reason, I feel like I could get along with anyone. Like, if somebody says, Oh, so and so is terrible, I could sit with them and I swear I could become friends with them. I’ve been like this since, like, I was a kid, like everyone My family was like, Justin, you’ll talk to anybody and like, I could make anyone mean, be sweet to me, just because all you have to do is, like, ask them questions about themselves, tell them they’re pretty like, you know, like, whatever, and then they’re like, they’ll get on your good side. So I was really good, like that, like, with the crazy celebrities. But then after a while, I was like, Oh, I don’t want to be around because they’re not a good person. But there’s this one celebrity in particular, really big actress, Academy Award winner, very famous. And I remember when she was first coming to me to get her hair done and her was her makeup artist, or her hairdresser. Called me the guy who styled her hair, and he was like, I just want you to know, like, she’s really, really mean and like, just so just, like, don’t say anything. Just, you know, kind of, like, do her hair, like we’re, like, prepped me for it. And I was always like, what are they talking about? She came in. We were best friends. The next day after I did her hair for the first time, she sent me a huge bouquet of flowers, and when she left that, they gave me a huge hug, and was like, I love you, like, you’re so special. And they literally said they’re like, don’t try to hug her, because everyone knows that. Like, I love to hug people. So I don’t know, I’m like, at a bad gage with that at first, because, like, I really feel like I can break any anybody who’s really nasty at first, but then I’ll see through it. You know, totally Sometimes people’s teams are worse than the celebrity. Oh, my God, that’s a real thing, yeah, and it just gave this Lord a bad name. You’re so right on that sometimes there’s people who are very famous, and it’s the people around them who are the worst. So another thing that would happen a lot of these people, you know, because I would be working really close to them, going to them, going to their home, and we’d become close or whatever, and they’d always invite me to go to, like, dinners or birthday parties or like, travel with them. And I would love them as a person, but I’m like, but the people you surround yourself with, I can’t be around them like I would go on vacation sometimes with celebrities, and it was their friends who would like, they would act like they were famous. Like that never made sense to me. Like we would go out and like, they would be rude to the waiter, or, like, be pushy trying to get into somewhere. I’m like, You’re not her. Like, you need to stop. Like, it’s just that’s a real thing. People who surround themselves with celebrities, they start to act like the celebrity themselves, and they’re almost worse. People are the worst. People can be the worst or the best. Yeah, true. True, true. So you mentioned that scoot just walked in. Is he making dinner tonight? What are you guys having? I love seeing what he makes. You guys, he’s the best cook in the world. Like he has spoiled me so bad, like I don’t even like to go out to dinner at all when he works, though I would rather eat his food. Oh, right now we’re cleaning up because it’s like we’re going into summertime. So he’s doing, I think he’s doing salmon, broccoli and a salad tonight, but he is the best cook, like, in the world, and takes everything, like, too far, where someone will be, like, scoot, don’t put in so much energy. Like, I want to, like, sit down and, like, catch up with you at the end of the day, and he will cook for like, hours, like, little like, everything’s done to perfection. I’m so lucky for that beyond, oh my god, yum. That’s hungry. Are you gonna be attending Bravo Con this year? Or no, I don’t know. I it would be fun to go in the way. So honestly, cavalry, they put on Bravo at the beginning to premiere it. But it’s really like an E show. But peacock is involved with Bravo. I would like to go if, like, I had a reason to be there. Like, I’d love to, like, if I had a reason, because I feel like, well, the last time that I went, I’ll be really honest with you when I went with me, saying I’ll be honest. Like, okay, so the last time I went to rob a con, I went with Teddy Mellencamp to fill in for Tamra for their podcast, because Tamara couldn’t go, or she was on a show, so she couldn’t do the podcast, so I went, and there’s something really kind of too much for me behind the scenes in that world, like there’s a lot of really big egos and, like, I almost got uncomfortable, because it feels like there’s a lot of people, like, getting ready to fight with each other, like, look at each other, whatever. So me being there, I.
Like I was a bystander backstage, and that made me feel a little bit awkward. So if I was invited, and I was there for a reason, and I could just genuinely have fun, meeting everyone, talking to everyone, that’d be great. But I think when I went with Teddy, there was like, this whole thing of, like, grab someone, get them to come up and interview with you. And the whole idea is, like, get some sort of juice out of them, and like, so I felt like this, like dirty little creep backstage, you know? So, so I don’t know if I don’t if I want to do it in that way, I’d want to go just strictly to have fun and just like, chat with people and just be in that world, like, I wouldn’t want to be in any slimy position. Yeah, well, I’ll have given birth, so I’m gonna be on a drinking binge, and I will be there. So you and I are gonna party. I will say it was so fun. So we were there. They had us, like in the back, where everyone would come in before they go on stage or whatever, like the red carpet area, and they put us at this table where we were, like, doing the microphone interviews or whatever. And when I would walk out into the bravocon area, it is the most fun group of people you’ll ever be. You guys have obviously been there, right? I’ve been to New York and the Las Vegas one, yeah. So like, everyone there just wants to party and have fun, like, I would be at heaven there, just, like, doing the fun part of it. It’s a really fun event. Like, everyone’s just there to, like, laugh and have a good time and, like, get crazy and, like, you all have this, like, one connection, which is like, bravo. And so it’s just a fun environment, so I want to go and do it the fun way, so I could be your drinky buddy. Sold. Seriously, definitely sold. Justin, we are running out of time.
