From a Cocktailer: This is what I was saying on our zoom call the week before last. The attorney Karen picked to go to trial on a DUl case was a mistake. Not surprised.
She likely went with him because of his connections hoping to get a good offer to plea out with. But the evidence in her case and priors meant there wasn’t much that could be done to persuade prosecutors to offer her a lighter plea offer.
If he wasn’t a trial lawyer with a lot of trial experience (preferably someone DUl experience), she made a mistake.
Although, with those bodycam videos, only so much could be done even by s/o with experience.
All this to say, hopefully she selected a sentencing attorney who has experience.

She is blaming the attorney for her horrific actions. Again no accountability. Hope the judge sees that and she gets full sentencing. You are too old to be on your 4th DUI and danger to society.

Nah Karen 🙄 I hope she gets the maximum. She’s how old? It was 2024, Uber, Lyft, a friend etc could have driven you home. Don’t blame an attorney for this when you have had multiple DUI’s. I hope she has to sit through a victims panel and see what she could have caused. She’s gross! She knew she was intoxicated, she got in the car and drove. Then behaved the way she did. I’m embarrassed and saddened for her children.
