Meredith’s Bat Mitzvah…

Ok; so I fell WAY behind on SLC and am catching back up and just started the Meredith’s Bat Mitzvah episode!

We go to Park City/deer Valley at least 2-4 times a ski season, so I know it well and was kind of surprised to see she chose a Deer Valley base lodge (Empire) as the venue and not the Montage next door!

Don’t get me wrong the backdrop is absolutely GORGEOUS! And there are beautiful fireplaces inside but half the space is basically a cafeteria! I am shocked she didn’t choose the Montage instead!!!! I am sure renting Empire wasn’t CHEAP but just kind of made me stop and say “interesting”

    Many upscale places will not let them film. I work at a hugely popular South Florida restaurant and we get requests daily from reality shows and turn them all down.

    People that actually have money don’t want to be associated with reality tv.

    Montage most likely said no to filming at their resort.

    Sometimes I wonder things like this for other venues on other shows but I also wonder how difficult it is to get certain venues to agree to film there? Maybe Montage is exclusive enough they wouldn’t want their other guests disturbed by this (and don’t need the publicity from it)?
