From a cocktailer who is an attorney:
I think he’s seeking indemnification- by suing her he is seeking to insulate himself from responsibility financially to Rachel and then Arianna is would be liable for a higher percentage of fault to Rachel

So this is saying he’s trying to claim he’s blameless because Arianna found it and then caused Scandoval to be revealed?
Isn’t he basically admitting he wrongfully screen recorded with this though
Agreed 100% on the indemnification.
I get the sense that his lawyers see that, if it goes to trial, he’s probably going to lose Rachel’s lawsuit because … didn’t she say she didn’t know he recorded all of that stuff (and btw, gross)? And so, they are trying to hedge his losses by suing Ariana hoping she will give him some $$$ to go away. However, I don’t see how Ariana would be “automatically” subject to a higher percentage of damages unless there is some state law mandating that. But he’s out there trying to salvage the $35 he has left.
Does anyone have a beat on whether Rachel would accept a settlement offer from him? I mean, she would do well to just agree to drop the thing if he apologizes profusely to her publically. Rachel’s attorneys have to know that she looks like a colossal a-hole going after Ariana in this situation. I get that Ariana is where the money is, so, they kind of have to go after her. But sheesh. This lawsuit is a bad news bear. If she just gets an apology from Tom, Rachel kind of wins.
I thought it was Tom trying to strong arm Ariana into selling the house to him.
Duh
I thought this was some sort of ploy his attorney was taking for a reason BUT he is a scumball of a human & I hope he loses whatever money he has & I hope VPR fires him. There, I feel better now.
