Daisy Toye hasn’t even made her official debut on “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but a new report suggests her longtime connection to Martha Stewart quickly became a topic of conversation during season 16 filming.
According to TMZ, Daisy’s two-decade career as Martha’s makeup artist allegedly led to tension among the cast after some people questioned her motivations for joining the Bravo series.
Sources told the outlet that some of Daisy’s friends believed she wanted to use RHONY to launch a new chapter in her career and eventually move on from working with Martha. The report claims that perception rubbed some people the wrong way during production.
As Bravo & Cocktails previously reported, Martha herself has filmed scenes for the upcoming season.
Sai De Silva Reportedly Challenges Daisy Toye
The outlet reports that Sai De Silva, who reportedly knew Daisy for years before they joined the cast together, was one of her biggest critics during filming.
According to the outlet’s sources, Sai questioned Daisy’s attitude and accused her of not being supportive while Sai navigated her divorce from husband David Craig.
The report alleges Sai believed Daisy came across as elitist and confronted her during filming.
TMZ also claims the cast questioned Daisy about whether she was included in Martha’s will, with one insider describing the exchange as “not a good thing.”
If the reported confrontation makes the final edit, it could become one of season 16’s biggest early storylines.
Sai Also Reportedly Clashed With Carole Radziwill
Daisy wasn’t the only cast member Sai reportedly challenged.
According to TMZ, Sai also found herself at odds with returning “friend of” Carole Radziwill over Carole’s past social connection to Ghislaine Maxwell.
Sources close to production told the outlet that Sai questioned Carole because she has young children and wanted answers about the former RHONY star’s association with Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Carole previously addressed the topic in an interview with The New York Times.
“Imagine knowing someone… and then they turn out to be, like, a monster,” she said.
After Maxwell identified Carole in court documents as one of her “closest friends,” Carole later responded on X, insisting the relationship was social.
“Sure rich men, creepy people… obvs the men who were involved knew…I’m saying the social party friends especially us girls — we didn’t know. When people are doing bad sh*t they hide it well. It’s f**king creepy,” she wrote.
Bravo has not announced a premiere date for “The Real Housewives of New York City” season 16.
