“Love Is Blind” is officially returning for season 11 — and this time, the pods are heading to Boston.
Netflix announced the renewal during its upfront presentation this week, confirming that another group of singles will attempt to find love without ever seeing each other face-to-face first.
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey are also returning as hosts despite years of fan complaints about the duo.
The upcoming season is expected to premiere this fall and will feature a cast made up of Boston-area singles looking for relationships inside the now-famous pods.
‘Love Is Blind’ Heads to Boston for Season 11
Netflix has continued expanding the dating experiment city by city since the series premiered in 2020.
Season 11 will take the franchise to Boston, marking the latest attempt to produce lasting relationships after several rocky recent installments.
Just like previous seasons, contestants will date blindly through the pods before deciding whether to get engaged without ever meeting in person.
Once engaged, couples will leave the pods and attempt to navigate real life together ahead of their weddings.
Netflix has not yet revealed the official cast or premiere date.
Recent LIB Seasons Faced Fan Backlash
Although “Love Is Blind” remains one of Netflix’s biggest reality franchises, several recent seasons sparked criticism from viewers online.
Season 10, which was filmed in Ohio, faced controversy before episodes even aired after one cast member was hit with sexual assault allegations.
Of the seven engaged couples featured during the season, only two ultimately made it to the altar.
Meanwhile, season 9 — which took place in Denver — faced even harsher criticism from fans.
Not a single couple made it to marriage by the end of the season, leading some viewers online to label it the “worst season ever.”
The franchise has also dealt with lawsuits and complaints from former cast members in recent years, with some alleging poor treatment during filming and production.
Despite the criticism, Netflix appears fully committed to continuing the franchise.
