Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship is officially crossing over to “In the City”—and Bravo is giving fans a clearer look at how it will all unfold.

Ahead of the series premiere, Bravo insider Frances Berwick shared new details about how the couple’s headline-making romance will be featured on the new show, instead of being fully explored on “Summer House.”

Amanda Batula & West Wilson Storyline Moves to ‘In the City’

Amanda is a full-time cast member on “In the City” season 1, while West—who is not part of the main cast—makes a brief appearance in the trailer. But according to Berwick, their relationship will still play a role in the storyline.

“In the City, which launches in a couple weeks, you’ll see in the first episode, we have a new scene that we shot with a couple of the cast members,” Berwick told The Ankler. “So, we did pick it up there, but we just didn’t feel like that was the right thing to do on ‘Summer House.’”

The decision came after Amanda and West confirmed their relationship on March 31, while “Summer House” season 10 was still airing. Their announcement quickly became one of the biggest storylines surrounding the cast.

Berwick explained that production made a conscious choice about where to address the situation.

“It does come back to the emotional well-being of the cast members, and we didn’t think that was right,” she said. “We did take a beat before we covered that.”

‘In the City’ Picks Up After Intense ‘Summer House’ Reunion

Instead of reshaping “Summer House,” Bravo opted to revisit the relationship after filming—something viewers will now see play out on “In the City.”

In the season 1 trailer, Amanda and West are shown meeting up in New York City, greeting each other with a hug and playful nicknames like “Mandy” and “cutie.”

The timing is especially notable, as the “Summer House” season 10 reunion was filmed shortly after their relationship became public.

Host Andy Cohen later described the reunion as one of the most intense he has ever filmed.

“I am walking out of the ‘Summer House’ reunion. I probably hosted, well, it’s over 100 reunions, maybe 150, something like that,” Andy said at the time. “This was one of the most intense reunions we’ve ever shot. This was a lot. This was a lot. It was very intense, you guys… Every question was asked. Every question was asked.”

With emotions already running high on “Summer House,” it appears “In the City” will be where fans get the next chapter of Amanda and West’s story.

“In the City” premieres May 19 on Bravo.
