Subject: Will The Show Go On?
Spill It to BravoandCocktails.com:
Paramount+ and Hulu are separately considering whether to pick up the next era of the iconic Jersey Shore franchise after its MTV cancellation, with the cast actively pitching a rebranded revival titled ‘Jersey Shore: The Next Chapter’.
The new concept follows Nicole “Snooki,” Pauly D, Mike “The Situation,” Jenni “JWoww,” Sammi Sweetheart, Angelina, and Deena as they move into a more adult stage of life. The tone is being compared internally to The Real Housewives and would include solo arcs, interconnected group storylines, family dynamics, and a few major cast trips rather than their usual back-to-back vacations, nonstop partying, and club appearances.
Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are currently absent from the pitch for a handful of reasons. Vinny’s is due to backlash over controversial political and misogynistic comments, and Ronnie’s is due to ongoing personal struggles involving alleged substance abuse and legal issues. Their inclusion remains undecided, with priority placed on the cast wellbeing and the show’s long-term stability.
Key storylines that were pitched include Pauly D potentially proposing to longtime girlfriend Nikki while also introducing viewers to his life as a father for the first time, Angelina’s journey toward becoming a mother independently, Sammi adjusting to first-time motherhood, and JWoww navigating co-parenting with ex-husband Roger, who may appear on camera again. Snooki and her husband Jionni LaValle’s largely private marriage is also expected to be a central focus.
The cast hopes to secure a network or streaming home by summer, though final pickup depends on both industry interest and how willing each cast member is to fully open up their personal lives on camera, as they have historically been reluctant to share certain things.
