Sai De Silva’s marriage is coming to an end — and it may unfold on camera. According to TMZ, De Silva’s husband, David Craig, filed for divorce in New York City on Thursday, nearly nine years after the couple tied the knot.

The “Real Housewives of New York” star, 45, met Craig in 2009 during a trip to Costa Rica. The two later built a family together, welcoming daughter London in 2011 and son Rio in 2017 before marrying in a private ceremony in June 2017.

Now, their split could become part of RHONY season 16, which is currently filming. The cast includes Sai, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and newcomers Hailey Glassman, Erika Hammond, and Daisy Toye, with Carole Radziwill appearing as a friend of the cast.

While Sai has embraced the spotlight as both an influencer and reality star, David has largely stayed out of it. She previously addressed that dynamic in a 2023 Scout the City blog post, explaining, “He likes his privacy. In a world where we share everything, it’s nice to have something that is private in my life.”

She also spoke about his role as a father, saying, “He is very involved when it comes to his family and I think he should win an award for father of the year!”

With cameras rolling, fans may soon see how this new chapter plays out for Sai on RHONY.
