Amanda Batula is opening up about the end of her marriage to Kyle Cooke — and what viewers will see when “Summer House” season 10 hits Bravo.
During a March 3 interview with Marie Claire, Amanda shared new details about her separation from Kyle, including when the couple first split and how their relationship unraveled before they publicly announced their divorce.
The reality star also addressed cheating rumors, fan reactions, and what the future might hold for her after the breakup.
Amanda Batula Explains the Timeline of Kyle Cooke Separation
Amanda revealed that she actually moved out months before the couple announced their split publicly.
“I moved out in November. We were separated but agreed not to see other people,” Amanda explained.
The pair initially hoped time apart might help repair their relationship.
“The plan was to date each other, work on our relationship, and take some space. But that space made us realize, well, maybe we want more space; that the separation should be permanent,” she said.
Amanda and Kyle ultimately decided to divorce just days before sharing the news with fans.
“We came to the decision to divorce a few days before we posted the announcement,” Amanda said, referring to their January 19 Instagram statement.
She described the moment as emotional but also freeing.
“It was a sad moment, but I also felt relief,” she admitted.
The ‘Summer House’ Star Reflects on Filming Season 10
According to Amanda, the couple entered filming for “Summer House” season 10 already struggling.
“We didn’t go into the house on good terms,” Amanda said.
She also referenced a situation earlier in the spring that caused tension in their relationship.
“There was a lot that happened between us that spring, too, with him staying at a fan’s house,” she explained.
Looking back, Amanda said watching the season unfold on TV has been difficult.
“The frustration and animosity outshined the love we had, and it became volatile,” she said.
Kyle even reached out to her after seeing the footage.
“Kyle even texted me after and said it was a rough watch,” Amanda revealed.
Despite the tension viewers may see, Amanda pushed back against fans who have harshly criticized Kyle.
“Don’t beat a man when he’s down,” she said. “He’s not a bad person. We are two people who couldn’t make it work.”
Amanda Batula Addresses Cheating Rumors and Life After the Breakup
Following news of the split, rumors surfaced that Kyle may have cheated.
Amanda acknowledged hearing the speculation but said it no longer affects her.
“It doesn’t make me feel great, but I can’t say I didn’t expect it, given all the rumors I’ve heard,” Amanda said. “But it doesn’t bother me anymore.”
Amanda also revealed that she has received overwhelming support from fans since announcing the divorce, with some comparing her situation to Ariana Madix after Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal on “Vanderpump Rules.”
However, Amanda said the comparison isn’t accurate.
“But her situation was so different and so awful,” Amanda explained. “There’s really no comparison. Kyle and I are good.”
As she moves forward, Amanda said she’s not rushing into another serious relationship.
“For now, while I heal, I just want to flirt and make out,” she said.
“I’ve always dated older, but it might be fun to be with someone my age or younger.”
For now, Amanda is focusing on her swimwear business and figuring out what comes next.
“I’ll find a husband later down the road—or maybe not,” she said.
When asked what she would tell her 25-year-old self from season 1, she looked back at what her friends have said to her for the past few seasons.
“I would tell her the same things that Ciara and Paige told me later in life: you are so much more than just your relationship with Kyle. You are Amanda fucking Batula. You shouldn’t feel insecure. You have so much going for you. You are loved by so many people. Also, get on Prozac now.”
“Summer House” season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
