Monique Samuels just made her highly anticipated comeback to “The Real Housewives of Potomac” for season 10 — but her return isn’t the only thing making headlines. The former Housewife is now addressing a leaked video of herself that began circulating online, and she’s directly pointing the finger at her ex-husband, Chris Samuels.
Monique and Chris joined RHOP during season 2 in 2017 and remained on the show until 2020 before moving to OWN’s “Love & Marriage DC.” After one season, they exited the series and later filed for divorce in 2023, ending their 11-year marriage. The pair share three children.
Now, Monique says Chris is behind the resurfaced footage — and she’s not holding back.
Monique Samuels Claims Chris Samuels Leaked Video of Her and Jason Weems
During a new interview with Angela Yee, Monique discussed her friendship with comedian Jason Weems, her former morning radio co-host. She said they were “great friends” who “never spent any time outside the studio” until she began confiding in him during her divorce.
Their bond shifted from support to something more serious.
“Our friendship turned very emotionally connected,” Monique shared. “It turned romantic.”
Then she dropped the bombshell:
“And the reason this video is out there right now is because my ex-husband actually leaked it.”
According to Monique, Chris has been showing the footage “to everybody,” and the real mystery is how he even obtained it. She claims he received the clips from a “former friend” of hers.
The videos — posted by The Neighborhood Talk — show Monique and Jason hiking, where he appears to kiss her neck from behind as she laughs. Another clip shows her driving with Jason asleep in the passenger seat, wearing the same clothes.
Monique didn’t stop there. She said Chris has been keeping tabs on her since their split.
“He has done so much in the neighborhood, in the streets of Potomac,” she said. “Within five minutes, he will pull out his phone… My kids even said he has a whole folder with screenshots and pictures of me.”
She added that Chris has even told her, “I got eyes on you,” prompting Monique to urge him to “enjoy your life.”
Despite everything, Monique said she’s fine with Chris dating — with one condition: “As long as the woman is good with kids.”
As for her own romantic life?
“I’m not even dating,” she admitted. “I would hate to even bring somebody into a situation where he’s acting the way he’s acting, and we’re trying to co-parent.”
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
