Lisa Barlow is finally explaining the jaw-dropping insult that sent Bravo fans into a frenzy. TheReal Housewives of Salt Lake Citystar revealed what led her to call Bronwyn Newport agout d**k suckerduring one of the show’s most chaotic on-screen feuds — and according to Lisa, the now-viral line wasn’t random.

Lisa Barlow Explains the Origins of Her Viral RHOSLC Insult

In an interview with Parade, Lisa revealed that the insult stemmed from a conversation she and Bronwyn had off-camera years before their friendship imploded.I was with Bronwyn a few years prior … I remember something she had said like the year before,Lisa said. She was like,I have sex with a man that has gout.’”

Lisa went on to recall an even more awkward encounter. We were at a party with two of my NBA player friends, she explained. And in front of them — it was so weird — [Bronwyn] said,Yeah, when the AMEX bill comes with Todd, I just say,I’ll suck your d**k.I don’t talk like that. I’m not crass. So it just like never left me.”

Lisa said that moment resurfaced during their heated argument in season 6, when Bronwyn accused her of having multiple lawsuits related to her businesses.I was just thinking about how she’s coming at me and saying,You need to go to work,’ Lisa explained.I was just at work. I own so many businesses. I work hard. Everyone that knows me knows I work hard.”

That’s when, according to Lisa, the infamous clapback came out naturally.I’m like, you want to come at me for not working? Let’s talk about what your job is,she said, laughing. All you do is like suck gout d**k.”

Lisa insisted the moment wasn’t premeditated — just a fiery response that slipped out.It just came to me in the moment, she said.I’m not proud of it, but it’s not a lie.”

While Bronwyn later accused Lisa of leaking stories about her to the press, Lisa made it clear she’s standing by her comments — and her delivery.
