Taylor Frankie Paul is officially stepping into a new kind of spotlight. The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star is set to become the next lead of “The Bachelorette,” making history as the first existing reality star to helm the franchise. And she’s already revealing exactly what kind of man she wants by her side.
The news was announced earlier this month, and while fans are still reeling from the bold casting choice, Taylor seems laser-focused on what she’s looking for in a partner this time around.
Taylor Frankie Paul Says She Needs Someone ‘Passive’
Taylor’s romantic history has played out in front of the cameras on Hulu, most notably her rocky, on-again, off-again relationship with Dakota Mortensen, with whom she shares son Ever. Now, she’s ready for a calmer chapter.
She sat down with Alex Cooper on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to announce the news and to get real about the kind of man she’s hoping to find as the Bachelorette.
“I can’t do the class clown. And am I attracted to that? Yes I am,” she admitted. “I’m like, ‘Ooh yeah,’ because they’re your vibe! They are high energy, and I’m that way sometimes, but passive is what I’ve learned is best for me.”
Taylor explained that while she still wants someone fun, she’s done with drama. “I’m one that cannot be controlled. It actually makes me worse. Or told what to do. That is something that I don’t [like at all],” she added.
Her ideal partner will also need to fit seamlessly into her life as a mom of three and a social media influencer. When asked if she expects her future partner to appear in her TikToks, Taylor didn’t hesitate: “That’s my life! That’s my job. I do a lot of family vlogging and that’s what I share with my kids, and I want him to be in my family. So if I have to blur him out, I’m like, ‘Duh, I want to show him off!’”
While there’s no official air date for Taylor’s season of “The Bachelorette” yet, the show is slated to premiere sometime in 2026
