Brittany Cartwright is sharing devastating news from her hometown. The Valley star revealed that a fire destroyed her family’s last remaining barn at Turner Farm, the 400-acre property where her mom, Sherri Cartwright, was raised and still lives.
Brittany Cartwright’s Mom, Sherri, Speaks Out on the Barn Fire
Brittany posted footage of the aftermath on Instagram on September 28, crediting Sherri for capturing the heartbreaking scene. “This is so heartbreaking, our pawpaws last barn on the farm burned down today and we have no idea why,” Brittany wrote. “My mom is devastated, so many memories since she was a little girl were made here… So thankful no one was hurt and all the animals are safe.”
Sherri confirmed that emergency responders were on-site but said the cause of the blaze remains unknown. “This is the last barn we had on the Turner farm. This is where I kept the horses at… and it burnt down really fast,” she explained in her video. “Thank god, praise god, I had the horses out. I let them out before church this morning, so they’re fine.”
The family matriarch also revealed that the fire damaged her nearby home, though she described it as still livable. Posting clips of her beloved miniature horses grazing, Sherri admitted, “I would be so upset without them. I love them so much.”
Fans first saw Turner Farm in the 2017 spinoff “Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky,” which highlighted Brittany’s country roots and her early relationship with Jax Taylor. Brittany has since continued to proudly represent her Kentucky upbringing on Bravo—even if this latest chapter is one she wishes she could forget.
