When it comes to iconic “Vanderpump Rules” moments, Kristen Doute bringing “Miami Girl” to SUR is cemented in reality TV history. At the time, Kristen was determined to expose her ex, Tom Sandoval’s, alleged cheating on Ariana Madix, and she didn’t mind pulling some messy strings to make it happen.

On season 3, episode 13, Kristen sat down with Annemarie—forever known as “Miami Girl”—who claimed she hooked up with Tom during the cast’s trip to Florida. Kristen then orchestrated Annemarie’s surprise confrontation at SUR, where Tom and Ariana were working. Of course, Kristen made sure she had a front-row seat to the chaos.

The outcome? Not what Kristen hoped for. Tom denied it, Ariana defended him, and the two literally walked away from the drama arm in arm. Kristen, meanwhile, clashed with SUR manager Diana, famously told her to “suck a dick,” and got fired.

Kristen Doute Reflects on Being Right—And What Fans Got Wrong

Years later, the truth came out. In season 10, Ariana admitted Tom did hook up with Miami Girl, even helping him cover it up at the time. “It’s definitely vindicating when I found out that Ariana actually did know that that happened,” Kristen told Bravo Insider. “Even though it was so long ago, I’m like, ‘What assholes!’ Like, you guys could have admitted this years and years ago.”

Kristen also cleared up one of the biggest fan misconceptions: she didn’t actually fly Annemarie to Los Angeles. “I didn’t fly her anywhere. That is the biggest common misconception ever,” Kristen said. “We were so broke back then that I couldn’t afford to fly myself somewhere, let alone fly my ex-boyfriend’s supposed mistress!”

Looking back, Kristen can laugh at her expectations versus reality. “I thought I was just such hot s–t that day … and I wasn’t. I was absolutely hammered, holding a giant glass of wine, chain-smoking cigarettes.”

And as for getting fired from SUR? No regrets. “Working in service, it’s like being in the most toxic relationship ever, so if they hadn’t broken up with me, I probably never would have left,” Kristen admitted.
