Ahead of RHOC’s landmark 20th season, producers have begun eyeing a full-time return for Alexis Bellino to spotlight her pre- and post-marital journey with John Janssen. The move comes after last year’s decision to side with Shannon over Alexis, which is a choice executives now view differently, as Shannon has been increasingly difficult to film with (refusing to reconcile with certain castmates and experiencing frequent emotional meltdowns).
Ideally, Alexis will join Tamra, Heather, Gina, Emily, and Jen FT. Gretchen Rossi is expected to appear as a “friend of,” (if she ends the season on a decent note), alongside a new cast member with ties to Heather and Gretchen’s lavish Newport social circle. Executives still plan to invite Shannon back in a reduced “friend” capacity, though they are prepared to move forward without her if she declines.
As previously reported, Katie isn’t expected to return, although of course that could change following the reunion. Producers are also still looking to tap legacy OC housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, Kimberly Bryant, Jo De La Rosa, and Lauri Peterson for either a 20th anniversary party or a special dinner event.
Despite recent rumors, there are no plans to end the franchise after season 20.

Ugh, Alexis is so mean and vindictive. She’s hard to watch. Shannon gives comedic relief to that show. It would be at a loss if they got rid of her.
Im not sure about this. We dont love Shannon on our screens equally as much as we dont like Alexis and JohnnyJ.
Why is Gina a housewife? I don’t understand at all.
I actually wouldn’t mind seeing the tacky ass wedding of Jesus Jugs and Dirty John. Let’s see what Shannon paid for! Jo brings absolutely nothing, leave her out.
Is this for real?! Alexis was so boring last season. I’d much rather keep Shannon than bring her back !
I really think that’s a bad idea. No one cares about Alexis and her marriage. I think we are all tired of Tamra and her stirring the pot with lies. I feel like production has her planting seeds to try and create storylines. Heather is boring without filming in the McMansions she used to have. Her birthday party wasn’t even interesting. We are used to extravagance and luxury from her and we aren’t seeing it. Shannon is overreactive and not fun anymore. I used to enjoy Emily and she is just boring. Surprisingly I’m only enjoying watching Gina and Jenn. It is just not fun to watch anymore. OC needs a reboot or needs to be paused.
Please tell me this is Alexis PR people sending this in a Hail Mary attempt to get the wedding covered. NO ONE wants to see these nuptials! Everyone loves a wedding, sure. Not this one. Can’t even hate watch it 🙅🏻♀️
Margaret, I completely agree! They already tried bringing Alexis back and it didn’t work. Personally, I feel the OC has become unwatchable.

The only way Alexis works is if Shannon is there. Katie deserves a redemption storyline.
